it rang, woke me up, and disconnected, no message and came up unavailable on caller ID

Here we are again on Monday morning before 9AM, this phone # rang my phone, woke me, waited for the answering to pick up and then disconnected without a message, but I could hear "office noise" in the background. I hate them!!!

This number has called me about 10 times over the past 2 weeks and never leaves a message- I hope I am there to answer one of these days!

Advanstar Comm from Scottsdale, AZ, wanting to "verify subscription information". They mention one of several professional journals we subscribe to at our office, saying they are conducting their annual updating of mailing address, phone, etc. Don't know what that has to do with my mother's maiden name but they'll ask me that, too. Funny, their "annual" call occurs about every 2-4 weeks. I've asked them to stop calling but it did no good, so I finally got angry enough to file a complaint with the FCC today. I encourage everyone to do so, it only takes a few minutes online.

Some lady wanted to speak to someone about an Auto Magazine.

A lady just called at 4:15 pm CDT to ask me to update my subscription info for a pharmaceutical magazine. (I don't work in this industry.) I told her to remove my number from the database.
