I am so sick and tired of answering this office phone and it being a stupid magazine representative.  I have had 3 call today and all of them are different.  This number has called several times this week wanting to get an O.K from the boss to continue with a magazine they send out "for free".  They want me to O.K. it for him and I don't...and won't.  They get mad and hang up.  They say that have already been sending them and need to update their records.  If they've been sending them and they're not being returned...what's to update??  This is so wastefull on their part to send these magazines out and 2/3 of the people that receive them don't even look at them.  They go in File 13.  Such a waste of labor, time, money, paper, ink, postage, etc.  This list goes on and on.
Can you guys please give the secretaries a break!!!!???????

Our office has gotten somewhere in the vicinity of 90 calls (all for different names) in the past 24 hours. It " Every one of the callers states that they have the name they are calling for listed as our CEO. Now tell me...how could any company have the money to hire 90 individual CEO's for their company? C'mon people...give us a freaking break! Many of the callers are actually nice and understanding, some however sound and act like robots. I totally agree that this is a humungous waste of time for everyone involved. We get calls from them on an average every 3-4 minutes from this company.

By the way, the company these people are calling for is "Human Resources Executive Magazine."

Yes, same thing here. I think out of 90 names in the past 24 hours, we have only found 2 of the 90 people to actually be in our company directory. Incredible waste of time and money for these people to try to give away a "free subscription" to "Human Resources Executive Magazine"!

They keep calling and then hanging up when the answering machine clicks on.  It is very annoying.

Had to block them, they won't stop calling, even after I have asked them not to.  Waste of a life, dialing all day to annoy others.  Must have been raised by bumblebees.

I work at a huge company where I answer calls all day long (switchboard) and they call our area, which includes 4 people, at lest 400 times a day. Almost none of the names they give us are in our directory and it's quite annoying.  Alot of the time we answer the phone and this message plays... "Please hold until the next representative can assist you"  they dialed OUR number...not the other way around. Wish it would stop

Before they even start their spill, I tell them we don't want the magazine.  They want to continue to eplain why we need to receive this "free magazine".  Then I start telling them why we don't need it.  They still don't want to hear "No."  So, I end up hanging up on their reps.  They don't understand that either b/c we still get the magazines.  What a waste of time and $$ on their end.

They called several times today. When I answered I did not answer as the company, I just said hello. When they asked for the owner I said no one by that name lives here. Then the asked if it was our company name and I said "no, this is a residence." They have not called back.

After reading this, I found out it was Human Resources Magazine. Since I'm not an HR person but have had HR working for me in the past, this helps me figure out what's going on. Thanks, after receiving several phone calls, I got another one. Picked it up and answered the questions.

***This company is called iPacesetters***  they try to conceal this information when you ask what company they are calling from... probably to avoid getting in trouble for BLATANTLY IGNORING do not call requests.

This is a call center calling on behalf of “Human Resource Executive Magazine.”  They have repeatedly called me (about 15 times a day) even though I have been requesting for months to be taken off their call list.  Many of the callers I have spoken to are rude and disconnect when I ask them about the purpose of their phone call.  Often times they call with a huge list of names and will not listen when I tell them I will not confirm any contact information nor connect their call.

However, today when I asked to speak with a manager, I was actually transferred to one - I guess if you sound angry enough and you ask the right questions in advance (I started out getting the caller's first and last name.. ) you might get lucky and get through to someone who will listen to your complaint.

After I threw a short fit, the manager apologized and I have since stopped receiving phone calls. However, it  is completely unacceptable I had to resort to these measures!

Here are their websites:   PLEASE VOICE YOUR COMPLAINTS!

An offshore representative called my company and asked, "Are you still located at [some random address that isn't even close to our actual one]?" I just said "no" and hung up. They didn't bother to call back and explain about their magazine. If they had, I would have just rejected the call without picking up the phone. What a bunch of time-wasting, peabrain idiots.

Human Resource magazine call.  Just told them the person they called for no longer works here.  I hope that will get them to stop calling a dozen times a week, as they normally do.
