People - why are you answering calls from numbers you don't know, or worse yet calling them back if it's a number you don't know? Don't be stupid!

came up on caller id as unassigned. Left no message.

Was getting 480-448-3777 numbers on my phone  with no voicemail message left or I.D  to a company name. Suddenly & mysteriously simultaneously so was the phone of my nephew whose phone number I do not know by heart. In fact, he lived in a different state from myself for 30 yrs. albeit because of family tragedy recently we have spoken mainly via text but a few cell calls. The call on his phone asked for me Elaine Johnson. This is a foreign middle eastern voice of which in times past I had harassment calls from but what is more sinister is the fact that such a number & voice calling my young nephew about an alleged depth. It is treacherous violation of an American’s privacy for as said I don’t know my nephew’s number by heart nor should a business company have it period!!!! This is a civil rights violation & a terrorist threat!!!  I’m outraged! Do something Now!!

Well that is a bit dramatic. "terrorist threat", Seriously?  "civil rights violation"?  I think there are a lot of people who would disagree with you on that.  "Do something now!!"  Why should we do anything?  You received the call.  You have the power to "do something".  Or are you too lazy to do it?  I posted (on page 1 so you don't have to strain yourself looking) the solution to your problem.  So you can do something, or you can put up with the calls.  Your choice.

I let voicemails screen my calls. With all the unwanted calls coming in I don’t have time to play games. I just google the number & 99% of the time it’s scammers. I just continue blocking these idiots.

Just called, let it go to voicemail, didn't leave a message... so, unknown number, from an area I don't know anyone in, and you can't leave a message, congrats, you're on the Blocked Caller List. - You know it's gotten pretty sad out there when I have about 75 people in my contacts list, and well over 300 blocked numbers in my phone...

Obvious scammer, debt collector or not. Hiya app users also identifies this as a debt collector scam. The app automatically kicked it to voicemail and no message was left. Can't tell what's worse debt collectors or scammers spoofing debt collectors' phone numbers. Regardless, I have no debt so this caller can [***].

Landline-Didn't answer-no message.

Midland Debt- heavy Indian accent, Asked for me by my first and last name, then gave me the “debt” from a place and a year I never had credit(Walmart 2013 $496), and then asked if this was “my first and last but gave a different date of birth.. all the time I kept saying you have the wrong person, wrong #” as Soon as I said it was not me, they suddenly hung up. Something fishy is occurring, I’m nervous they are fishing for data, voice recording, or something else... lol I’m paranoid of These fake calls getting me to say “yes” so I stayed as quiet as I could to avoid that.

Well there has never been one single documented case of someone who has been scammed by saying nothing more than the word "yes".  But, I see that I have posted a link to the information that will solve your problem permanently.  Maybe you should use it?  It is right there on the first page of this thread.

Midland credit. Told them person has never had this number a year ago. They still call, so now they automatically go to "The Jolly Roger Telco" to talk to a bot.

They got one bot to accept paying off the outstanding debt. The person said "oh great! How do you want to pay for that? Credit card, check, cashiers check?"

I laughed, let me pay you with the card you're supposedly calling about.

Now just think.  If you had sued them you would have a lot of money in your pocket and they would be hurting a lot worse then they are now with you childish games.

Called at noon and I tried to answer it. They hung up. Called again, and hung up again before I could answer.

They called my phone and didn't leave a message.

Scam!!!

This number has called me five times (twice in one day) this past week. I finally blocked the number after reading the feedback on this page. I will follow the instructions that Big A gave on the following link:
