Calls and no one at other end....annoying.

They have been calling me for 6 months !!  ( Even on the weekends )

STOP CALLING ME, gosh

This number calls my cell phone multiple times a day at all hours of day and night!! I never answer. I wish I knew how to make it stop.

Calls me twice daily, no one on the other end. Does not leave message. Needs to stop.

They have called me consistently these past 2 weeks every morning at 9am. Every time I pick up there is no one there, not even an automated response. I've tried calling back to ask to be removed from their calling list but nobody ever picks up on the other line. I'm not sure what to do at this point, but I registered my phone on the do not call registry hoping it'll make a difference.

Anyone else have anymore tips on how I can get them to stop calling?

Quit calling me! I already said I don't want a vacation any time to any where!

I agree leaving posts to Shell Vacation to stop calling will not work - they may not watch this site.

In your post, you wrote " How you handle this depends on the type of caller and what's been said".  How do we know what type of caller they are if they say nothing or just hang up?

If they swore or said something nasty, we would be able to report what they said.  Hangup or silence is kind of hard to report.

I know they use several numbers - I wonder if we can call our phone companies to have those numbers blocked.  Just a thought.

There you have the whole problem with a misfired complaint like Penguin's. This site cannot help anyone unless everyone contributes observations. You're right that call abandonment frustrates the intelligence gathering considerably. But two comments citing "Shell Vacations" were already here when Penguin posted last November. That makes the Rant 'n' Run style of comment much harder to excuse.

Reporting the call abandonment itself can be of value, since there is a low regulatory cap on such behavior. Dropped calls from an autodialer are not to occur more than 03% of the time, and if you answer a sales call a rep is required to greet you within two seconds.

You can try blocking through your carrier or a gadget but those are finite solutions. I advocate a direct approach whenever possible, starting with a curt "shut up" letter sent USPS Certified with return card.

I just got another call from Shell Vacations, I told them I did some investigating on Shell Vacation and they have nothing I'm interested in and don't call again.  I hope it works but I doubt it.

Received a call to my workplace from a local number and the man gave 480-455-6743 as the callback number.

He claimed to be from Yodle calling about new client acquisitions. That sounded questionable to me.
