Called offering to allow me to process MasterCard and Visa

call from a woman named Danielle from Merchant Services trying to tell me there was a change to my account. I don't have a Merchant Services account. Suspect possible Phishing attempt.

Just got this call today. Also Danielle from Merchant Services... we do not have an account with that company. Sales call I assume

Well, I got a call from Casey Bearing stating there was a change to my account.  I called back from my cell and gave a phony name to try and get information from her.  She stated she was just informing customers of the changes made by Visa and Mastercard.  When I continued to question her she got upset and stated Visa/MC put a flag on my account.  I then told her I will wait for them to send me a notification by mail.  She said she will tell them I refused.  I asked how can I refuse a flagged account and told her how stupid she sound, so she hung up!!!  ;}

I also received a call from a Casey Baron.  She stated she was calling from "Merchant Services" about a change to my boss's account.  I didn't put her through because I figuered it was a sales call.  She left a file # 108155414 to reference when my boss called back.  She had the nerve to ask me for my name so she knows who she left the message with.

I hate sales people random calling.

Got a call from an illiterate MALISHA JONES. IT was very urgent the merchant account that I dont have. I asked her where are you calling from she says this doesnt pertain to you.. really only a few words she knows. Once I ask where are you calling from hangs up and I keep calling her back but doesn't answer. Doesn't seem promising. annoying more than anything!

Multiple calls and hangups from this number. I read the comments left by others.

Don't ever leave any information for these scam artists. Seems more like a phishing attempt

Keeps calling our company to notify us of changes to our merchant account - which we don't have.  I just keep taking the information down and not returning the call.

Got a call from Ross today, asking to speak to the owner of the business. Said he wasnt available do you want voicemail, he responded with everyone has been putting me into his voicemail and I am not able to leave them. Took down his number and hung up.

Just got a call from David Chavez saying he was with Merchant Services for Visa.  Haughty, rude, wouldn't confirm if we have an account with them, and hung up on me.  I called back and asked to speak with his manager--got Stephen Jordan.  I'm not going to answer their call again.  Very suspicious and unprofessional.

Also got multiple calls from David Chavez saying he's notifying on behalf of Visa. He kept calling back and even threatened that he has cousins in my area.

Just got a call from David Chavez.  He said that he needed to speak to the owner or co-owner and that he cannot release any information unless I met that requirement.

He said he was calling in regards to a change made to the company's merchant services account.  I told him that we don't have such an account.  Gave me a reference number so if we call back, I guess he will make his commission or whatever.

When I was on the phone with him, I heard a lot of other people talking in the background.

These people called my 4-5 times and said they would call again, even though I told them to leave me alone.

Scammers. These people lie about who they are to set appointments. Said they were my current provider. I don't process. Never have.
Phishing. Don't give them the time of day.

Eschelon Merchant Services Austin Moore 520-732-2807 Credit Card Processing scam!!! Don't give them any information about yourself!!! the scammer was very rude to me . Report Them every time they call!! This should be stopped by the authorities!!! I cant believe they allow this to keep happening they should be put away.

Got a call from 1-480-719-4395 telling me our account was flagged because of low fraud rate and we could get a lower merchant exchange rate. They said they were Eschelon company and they give the exchange rates to the banks for credit card processing, but it was clearly a call center, the guy was rude as hell and demanding that I accept his appointment next week. When I declined he said he didn't care if I accpeted his offer or not. I hung up and he called back..... Look up Eschelon on BBB they have a F rating.

Received the same call from 1-888-377-9822.  Caller's name that she gave was Danielle.   She called to "upgrade" our merchant account to interchange pricing.  Because we do have a merchant account, this could've been a problem if I wasn't so skeptical and alert. They wouldn't send it in writing and this confirms my suspicions.  Thanks to this site and people's comments and warnings.  Very appreciative.
