Just called me too.  Disconnected when they got my machine.

6 hrs ago......came up as "Unknown Name" so I did not answer it

Slow to respond after I answered.  The caller was making boiler-room calls for donations to "Fraternal Order of Police".

I never answer calls that do not show who is calling.  They left no message.  If they call again, I will forward their calls to some other unwanted caller.  My phone service offers selective call forwarding.  I can send specific numbers to a number of my choosing.  I chose one of the more annoying ones.

Just called and rang 5 times. Came up as unknown name. I turned off my answering machine years ago thanks to caller ID. I never pick up unless I know them. Rarely use the house phone any way. Just have it for emergencies. So no sale or scam here today. Just give it up losers! Based on other posters it is the fraternal order of police scam. Thanks for posting.

They just called me. First time I answered the call but they disconnected soon after I said "hello". The second time they called I let the call go to voicemail. No message was left. This number calls very frequently but no message is ever left and if the call is answered they disconnect.

Like Bill (above), I do not answer  calls that do not show the name of someone I know on Caller ID. Apparently this is a fund raising call from FOP, a police union.  I do not believe in public service unions anyway, so it just got added to my blocked calls list. The Do Not Call list does no good against "charities," or politics.

Just had a call not five minutes ago from this number.  It is a repeat caller to our phone.  We don't answer any "unknown caller" calls thanks to caller i.d.   People who know us will speak when the recording ends.  Have not called this number back because I'm not really that interested...just curious about the number.  Looked up the Fraternal Order of Police on Google and not one of the numbers matches this one.....so this is just a poser and/or scam....

They called again.  The number sounded familiar, so their calls will now get forwarded to someone who already has established themselves as annoying. :)
