my sister has been getting calls from these people, and she called the cops but they still keep calling, they use this number and another number as well.. Someone claiming o be some jason lee or some law firm office.  i was 100% sure this as a scam, so i did some research and i came across this website. they called three times, three names and they even started calling on her work number, they recited her number, ss , adress and etc.  i knew this shtis a scam, but imma file a report to the FBI about this.   they all had a middle east action

i have been getting the same calls for about 2 weeks now.....dont know y they are calling me because i cant understand their dialect.

These people started calling my cell phone and my office phone, repeatedly stating that I am about to have criminal charges brought against me. Does anyone know how to get them to STOP calling? I've blocked the number on my cell phone, but they are calling my work number and I have no control over that.

This person started calling me and first left a message on my cell phone, then turned around and called my work number. I told them when they called me at work that I could not talk to them and to not call my job again because Im not suppose to get personal calls at work. The man said fine (with an attitude) and hung up. He did have an middle eastern accent. I think its all a scam. This has happened to me once before and i feel for it, fool me once shame on me, fool me twice, I think not

Scam!  Abe Weller at least I think that is what he said, his grasp of the English language and common legal practice is so bad its funny.  Claiming to be from a law firm and calling to let me know that they are filing some claim against me and that my social security number is under investigation; no legal firm warns someone they are filing a suit against them.  He claims I had a payday loan from Cash Advance America that i have not paid back - never had one from any company.  Would not provide any proof and claims i have been getting emails from them - I have not.  Finally worked around to the real reason for the call...if I just pay them some amount "he has to talk to his boss first" that i can avoid going to court, and paying all those legal fees.  I suggested that he just file his little claim and we will deal with it in open court - because then they will have to provide proof of my signature on loan paperwork, proof of deposit and also proof of failure to pay and attempts to collect.

I got the same call and I told him that he needed to have the company to personally contact me and that if he is going to work in America to learn to speak our language cause I seriously only understood like every 4th word. How do you get them to quit calling you

I contacted this number, In a demanding voice I asked "Mike" (the guy who answered the phone) for the name of their business.  He said it was "a law firm", I demanded the name which he gave me as Oakview Law Firm.  I then demanded he give me the address.  After I was told to hold on several times (so they could converse) I was told to have my husband call.  I demanded their physical address so I could go to their location to discuss the matter they were threatening me with.  They refused to give me their physical address and "Mike" told me they "Just don't give their address to every Tom, Dick and Harry" who askes for it.  LOL   I told him "Fine'"I will contact the local authorities in Allentown, cause that's where they are clling from to come talk to him.

I think if everyone called them demanding their physical address,  some things may change.

I have been getting these calls from people claiming that i owe them for a internet loan. Which my bank has no knowledge of. how can i make this stop???????????

We have had continuous problems with this so called law firm, i just don't know what to do. Who can i call about this? this [***] needs to stop. I get calls non stop all day!!!  They need to quit scamming people. I am on the the do not call registry, but what good is that doing?  What can be done about this????!!!!!

I think we should all call the number back like at 2 or 3 am their time and see if they answer. I've read that this is a land line phone, so if they are really a " LAW FIRM" what are they doing there this late???

The numbers they are calling you from are VOIP numbers.
they have recieved your info by paying for it from online loan companies.

The same guys are calling my phones. RUSSELL & MILLER Law Firm David Cooper #951-489-0225 In CA This is a lie no matter what they say do not pay.

I recieved a call from them today and he was rude I asked for the case number of the law suit, their license numbers and to speak to someone else who worked in the firm as I did not appreciate his tone of attitude towards this matter.  He said that I was refusing to pay and I was uncooperative and that would be reported along with all of my Federal charges.  He claimed to work for the Federal goverment first told me it was a federal law firm then changed when i asked again ( as i had gotten paper to write everything down) he changed it to Russell Miller Law Office and his name was David Cooper.  He called from 951-977-1534.

I received a call to day from a Pedro Foster with an middle eastern accent. He claims he from the law office of Russel Miller. He said I took out a loan from a company by the name of Cash Advance USA. I have no knowledge of this. When I started asking questions he stated that I have 3 criminal charges against me and that they have taken an Warrenton out for my arrest. While asking question the phone call was dropped and as I keep calling back the line seems to be busy. I thinking what law firm has a busy number. I tried calling back again and now there hanging up in me. Yes this is definitely a SCAM.

I am receiving calls from 916-238-8471. I returned the call and they state they are Law office of Russell Miller. But I did block my number when calling the guy was pissed because it came in private he asked for my number I said I'm not giving you my number why are you calling me. When I pushed him and the more questioned I asked he hung up on me. I owe no one money how did they get my number and information? What can I do to stop this?

I received a phone call from 916-238-8471 from some Indian accented "paralegal" saying this is my last chance to contact them before the federal law suit is brought against me. I called back and talked to some other "attorney" that I could barely understand. He said he doesn't like to be interrupted and went on to read me my "affidavit" explaining why a federal law suit has been filed against me. He was extremely rude and eventually hung up on me because I failed to not interrupt him - as I am sure you can understand I was extremely upset to receive such a strange call saying I am being accused of check fraud from receiving monies from a payday loan company (which he failed to disclose) who supposedly deposited funds into my bank account. He even had the name of my bank, last 4 of SSN and name and address. I couldn't get much more information from him before he hung up and now they refuse to answer my calls. I live in CO and contacted my bank immediately - of course, they have no record of "reporting me for check fraud" as the "attorney" said did, or that any said deposit was made on my account. Once I found this website, it has become clear that it is a SCAM, and even if it wasn't they are violating SEVERAL FDCPA rules and regulations for debt collection, and have clearly exhausted their resources in CA and moved onto CO. I pray to God that no one is caught in their scams. I will be reporting what information I have to the FBI, FDCPA, Attorney General and BBB.

I received the same called this morning. The man was rude and didn't speak clear English. He stated I took out a cash advance online loan, he had personally infromation. I went to my bank and they didn't have we're I received this money in my account. He even know that and that's the scary part of this call. I no longer live we're he said I live but. He told me to call my family and come up with 497 dollar r u would have to pay 3,497 for fee and that the police was to pick me up in three days. He was very pissed and could not provide the date and time I took out this loan, that I don't know anything about.
