I don't answer unrecognized numbers, which really isn't fair to me.  Another site said someone started talking about her healthcare and when she questioned where they got her personal info, they hung up.  Bath PA near Allentown

I got a call from this number today while driving to work. I answered and a male with a deep voice said his name was John from the Police Alliance. Really? What [***] Police Alliance. I said not interested and hung up.

It is a scam, do not give personal info

Missed a call, looked it up found this thread, tried to call the number back, rings until an automated server says all of there people are assisting other callers or it is after there business hours, tried a handful of times after and received the same automated message. Seems like [***]. Blocked from my phone and moved on.

Scam, says they are calling from the police department and looking for a donation.

Received call on my work phone. The person on the other end said that he was Jim Miller from the police fund. At that point, I cut him off and told him I don't take solicitations on my work phone and proceed to hang up (as he was still talking). I did a google search for "Jim Miller Police Fund" and alas, a "Scam" in Mississippi showed up (different number though).

Either way, this is likely a scam. Even if I were to give to the police, I would give DIRECTLY to them and not to a telemarketer. The legitimate telemarketers tend to keep about 90% (or more) of what they raise and only give the various groups that they are raising money for 10% (or less)

Called me on a SUNDAY afternoon.  Blocked the number!

It's 100% a scam. They call with different scams each time. Sometimes they claim to be the police collecting money via donations. Another will tell you they're raising money for firefighters. Yet another will tell you they have free pain cream and backbrace. Either way, it's a scam.

Called me yesterday on Memorial Day and I didn’t answer. I always look up unknown numbers before I call back and I’m glad I did! Must be a scam.

Spam; called twice and did not leave a message. Never trust a number that won't leave a message.
