Hang up call to my answering machine on 7-6-2012.

These nuisance calls come from different numbers under the same name "ELEC".
This software can block by name ( ELEC ), so you don't need the phone number.

It will also block those calls that are "allowed by law" :
 charities, phone surveys,  political calls ( it's an election year ),
 and companies with which a consumer has done business.

a woman caller from a so-called energy consultant, basically a scam.

No message - just keeps calling on a daily basis.

An Indian-sounding woman who calls herself Sophia calls me about reducing my electric bill, for some reason she knows my first name. I figured it's a scam. These guys are also breaking the law since I already put my phone number on the FTC's do not call list.

I get a call from this number at least once a day on my cell phone. If I answer, it is silence. If I send it to voicemail, it is 10 seconds of silence or no voicemail left. This has been going on for a week now.

These Indian people call me 1 to 2 times a day.  Most of the calls are cut short or dropped.  Some energy scam.  I spoke to a woman and a man once.  Told them to stop calling me but they keep calling.

A woman called and asked for me by my name then hung up. I tried to call back.. but it just rings. whoever you are your so Irritating.

That is the same thing that is happening to me. and i say hello twice then they hang up i dont answer and its a voice mail of nothing.
