caller id says  Media    PA
no message left on answering machine.  I no longer answer calls from people I do not know & who do not
leave a message.  These calls are becoming extremely annoying.

Continue with that practice and eventually the number of unwanted calls will decrease.  After several years of multiple calls per day we are now down to 2 or 3 calls per week on a bad week.

First time call.  Did not answer , do not know or message I know, I DO NOT ANSWER!

I, too, do not answer ANYTHING from names I do not know or "Unknown" sources. Yesterday for the first time I received a call from this number, CID said "Royal Glass", whatever THAT may be. Perhaps they think if they put an important-sounding name on the CID people will pick up. Another call today, Same thing. I have turned off my answering machine, sometimes I pick up and say nothing, make no sound. I can hear scrabbling in the background but nobody says anything and soon they hang up. Still the best way at least when there is a voice there and not a robot, is the good old police whistle!
