They have called me twice today but when I call back to see who they are, the phone says that that number is not in service.  ??????

they have called me also and it sounds like a machine and then a real person picks up and then back to the machine.. i also tried calling back and it says the number is not in service....  ???

if i answer no one is there. when I call back it says not in service.

How can someone call me from a number that's not in service?

Just put them in your reject list (if you have one on your phone)...I did.

They called me (real person) and told me they wanted me to take some samples. but they didnt tell me what those samples were so i told them no.

Called but ignored

a gal said i had taken some survey and was entitled to a $100 gift card and a $50 prize.  i asked what info i'd have to provide in order to receive these items.  she was evasive so i told her she didnt answer the ? so i asked again and she said i asked a very good question so she was turning me over to someone who could asnwer it.  i hung up.

I didn't answer and like everyone say when I called back it says number not in service.  The problem is I have relatives in PA with the same area code.  They never leave a message so I will ignor. Can put on refject because don't have that on phone.

Caller offered product samples shipped to my address along with $100 gift card. Requested personal information and I hung up.

They called me and said that they want me to try some products and for my effort I would get $100 in gift cards among other things.  I said fine.  They asked me for my address, and then they asked for my credit card information for their shipping cost.  I said that I did not feel comfortable giving them my credit card number - at which time they hung up.  I think this is a CREDIT CARD SCAM!!!

Caller ID said 'ECHOSYSTEMS' , I allowed machine to answer......'This is Jody, I am calling from 'sampleawards' (what it sounded like).  Have no idea what she was selling. Tired of these scams. Called 2:28pm

I always like these calls, because it's always an opportunity for a lawsuit.  They said based on an on-line survey I filed out, they wanted to send me samples of products to try, and in exchange would send a $100 gift card and a $50 restuarant card for trying out the samples.  Asked questions about medical devices and prescriptions used in my family household.  Asked for my address.  Gave it to them.  Then asked for my date of birth "so that I could use the gift card."  Visa and Mastercard don't even allow merchants to ask for ID when using cards (though a lot of places ignore this), much less need a birth date.  So it was obviously a scam when it got to that point.  I wanted to report this to donotcall.gov, but with the government shutdown that site is down right now. I think as long as donotcall.gov is down, these kinds of calls are going to increase.

*The caller transferred me to her supervisor, Maribel, who then put me through a series of question and the automated system asked for company name, she said her name, then the system asked for her number, she gave 1-855-604-3977 extension 48 and then her employee ID # 173.
