call came in as Asia Pacific was on my caller ID

I have also been told that these calls are often made from off shore locations. They get a phone no that seems to be a US number but are using throw away cell phones and that is why when we call the no back it is " no longer in service" or you may get that " unblock your phone to opt out of future calls" which doesn't work either. Our govt has it's head up in the clouds and is doing nothing to stop this crap. These criminals will call as early as 0615! They always ask for my DH by name! They must have telephone books or use the internet or something to scrounge up the names of people to harass. I told the caller from Hello People just a few minutes ago to take the throw away cell phone and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

The Caller ID said "Asia Pacific"...I'm not Asian, but my wife is (Filipino) but that isn't relevant. I've got other similar calls from the 503 area code in recent months. That ~would seem~ to indicate they're possibly using Caller ID spoofing...

I agree with others posters - these people are a total pain in the xxx!!

Not recognizing the number, or what was displayed on the Caller ID, of course I didn't answer...

If you don't have Caller ID (at least on your home phone) get it - it pays for itself since you can see who is calling and simply not answer if you don't recognize who is calling...

It's scum suckers like these people that give the entire telemarketing industry a black eye...

It might very well be these scum suckers are calling from offshore. It might be they're (as I said in my post) using Caller ID spoofing...

Like a bad case of heartburn, these morions will eventually get knocked off the block as it were...

This number has been poping up on my cell all week, My business phones are fowarded to my cell, Royal Pain in the [***]. Have no more room in my phone's memory for logging in all the scam numbers in phone book, currently have over 120 scam numbers... This crap has to stop...7

Just got yet another one of those Asian Pacific calls..same woman as before..wanted to talk to my DH..asked where are you calling from...Clear Water Fla. then I said  ' You can take your throw away phone and your scams and put it where the sun doesn't shine and then you can go straight to hell" She just laughed...then I got another call from Privacy Manage..and when it said the caller is all I could hear was a female voice that sounded the same that said I will.....and nothing more..then I got the selections of taking the call, sending the call to the message machine or telling the caller not to call again we are on the do not call list etc....I have no idea if this will take care of it..I doubt it.

Seems to me if someone tells the caller to take the throw away phone and the scam and shove it and it was a legit call they would not sit there and laugh happily knowing that they have ticked you off again..I used the word harassment..they think it is pretty funny.

I wish the govt would outlaw these throw away phones.

I have been receving calls up to 5 a day... they will not stop no matter what I say or do... I just called my cell phone company and they blocked the number

I am on the Oklahoma and national no call lists.  I have no business dealings with this company and they are calling my home one or twice a day and hanging up.  The name that comes up on the caller ID is "Asia Pacific" and the phone number is 503-457-1034.

This does not work- I have hit the do not call number multiple times and they still call.  I have talked to supervisors and they still call. Going to blow a whistle in the phone next time.

caller id says asia pacific.  a lot of the comments say it is a perscription drug co.  no message, just a lot of noise like static on my recorder.

Called, very noisy background, woman with indian or asian accent, asked for me by name. Asked who was calling, claimed to be with Delta Airlines. Hung up on her and blacklisted number. That's that. Caller ID came up ASIA PACIFIC as others have mentioned.

I have received numerous calls, all by callers with filipino accents (one female caller talked about her filipino background) and are difficult to get rid of- there was a promise of free diabetic supplies, but none ever arrived.  They claimed to be affiliated with a website that one could "check"!  I have been called "you b*tch!" when I refused to take a call.  Don't talk to these folks.

I answered the call from this number and received no response. The caller ID indicated Asia Pacific which when searched revealed a number of Companies by that name.

This # is calling me 3 to 4 times a day on my cell for weeks now...  I am very unhappy!

Caller ID says Asia Pacific.  When I answered the phone, a woman came on after a few moments of silence and she asked to speak to the manager.  I said no one is available then there was silence on the other end.  I hung up.

Got a call at 8:15 this morning asking specifically for my wife. I said she wasn't home. Then he asked for me calling my by name. I said I am he. Then he said he had information that someone in our household had diabetes. I said no we did not have diabetes. He had a very, very thick accent and it sounded like he was calling from some boiler room some place. Then he said nothing else but seemed to stay on the line so I just hung up. From reading these reports I guess I'm lucky I've only received one call. So far anyway.

This number originates from Oregon.  I just put it on my block list (cell phone) and all they get is a BIG FAT CLICK and it automatically hangs up on them. Try it.
