got a call from this number that ID said Michael Dillon on 10/5/11 at 4:47pm CDST.  Don't know who this is, never heard of them, but I see from here that they are calling others, usually without any caller ID info, which is a violation of federal law and needs to be reported to the Federal Communications Commission and ones state attorney general.  As long as people don't report these calls to the appropriate US and state agencies, the problem will only continue for everyone.  Report it here, but then go to the people who can actually DO something to stop these jerks.

We have received several recorded messages from this number. The message is always the same, from member card services stating this is the last time they will try to reach us... Wish it were.

Reporting these types of things to the FCC or FTC is an utter and complete waste of time. I have personally filed over 65 FCC complaints since 2010 and have received the same canned letter back from them stating that "they have investigated the matter and do not find enough facts to find any violation occurred." I am on both the federal and state do-not-call lists so how can this not be a violation? The FCC and FCC are like a lot of government programs and employees whose only purpose is to just use our tax dollars to fund non-value added jobs. They should be eliminated completely because they do absolutely nothing for the public. Sorry but that's just the truth. There's no way to get these slimy bottom-feeding telemarketing companies to stop calling you and they know it. The only way is to disconnect your phone line completely then the big phone companies like Verizon and AT&T will start losing enough business to warrant taking action themselves. You've got to hit them where it hurts - their bottom line! Good luck!

Just got a call from this number (no id) with a computer telling me it was credit card services with my last chance to take advantage of lowering my rate.  Funny - they said that the other umpteen times they called as well.  I finally had enough and pushed 1 to talk to a CSR as it directed me so I could have them remove my number.  Man answered and when I told him to remove my number he asked for my name and number so he could do so.  I said "you called me - you should have that info". He said "No i didn't, you push 1 to speak to me".  I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said no I couldn't.I asked for the name of his company and he said no I don't think so. I told him he was running a scam and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about - that I didn't know my mouth from my a**h***.  I hung up as soon as he said that.  Not only do I have to put up with the automated calls but then I had to but up with a foul mouth jerk working minimum wage. I pushed redial on my phone and got an automated answer that actually thanked me for calling them back and then ask me if I am not interested in receiving future calls about their "special" promotions to press 1.  I did so let's hope it ends and that I didn't put my number on 10 other lists by doing so....

We just received yet another robocall from "cardmember services" claiming that they have sent us several notices already (not) and that they can lower our credit card interest rates to 6% IF we have at least $3,000 in credit card debt and at least one credit card in "good standing."

You can guess what would happen next if somebody fell for this scam.  They would give the crooks the one card number still in good standing and then wait for their interest rate to be lowered magically.  In the meantime the crooks would max out the credit card leaving the poor sap on the hook for purchases he never made.  I can't believe anyone falls for this scam, but they do, which is why it is so important to never give out your personal information to anyone who cold calls you like this.

These crooks are spoofing their phone numbers, making it harder for them to be caught.  The Caller ID name on today's call literally said "CALLER."  Idiots.  They are making illegal telemarketing spam calls.  I don't know if they're domestic or foreign-based, but they are still illegal.  We all need to report all of these calls to www.donotcall.gov each and every time we receive them.

I Have been receiving calls from 503-457-1836 saying they are a card services provider. They constantly hang up on me when I ask to be put on the do not call list. They call sometimes 2 times a day. This is harrassment.

This number called me today, I didn't answer it as it only ID'd as "CALLER" I owe nobody any money and I'm not interested in credit cards so i dont answer any number I dont recognize. I too am on the "Do not call " registry and continue to receive LOTS of telemarketer calls.

Yes, this is the same as everyone else.  They get creative in trying to get you to pick up.  I have absolutely no faith in trying to stop these calls by reporting them.  They just change numbers and IDs.
With a person's name as ID, they think you'll pick up because you are curious who they might be.  Don't fall for it.  I also think some of these calls are in response to people applying for jobs online through websites.  If you can block the calls, do it.

I believe this number is the same company that used to call from 503-468-5336. Have tried to get both to remove me, but they hung up on me before I could finish my sentence. Like a lot of other people, I filed a complaint against the 5336 number, so they've apparently moved on to this number. I've blocked both for now, but I'm sure they'll be using another one in another month.

They've also been using numbers out of Washington State and Florida. And it's always "cell phone" with whatever state initial afterwards. Got called twice yesterday and as usual let the answering machine take it. However didn't get the automated message on "cc interest rates" on either, plus this is the first time Ive heard about a "Michael" and not the usual "Rachel", "Samantha", Janie" or "Heather".
