- State Of Oregon EMPLOYEELet all you people who don't like to read the fine print here is a larger print. The State of Oregon uses 503-581-7668 for all there outgoing calls. It doesn't matter whether it is DAS, Oregon Water Dept, Oregon Prison, Military or damn State Police. All state agencies use the same outgoing phone number. I get this all the time '' why is you number 503-581-7668 I thought it was 503-986-0854. Then I have to explain this whole thing to them. Get a clue people

- Scam!! replies to AnonymGot this call at 4:53 EST on 2/6/12. When I answered the phone it is silent and then says "to accept press 1 to leave a voicemail press 2" then disconnects.
- SheriI received a call from this phone number. They left a voice mail - in my case it was Oregon Employment Dept calling to get further information for my UI claim. So whoever thinks this phone number is all about collecting unpaid bills is an idiot because obviously it's not.
- Caller: Oregon
- tinkerbell* replies to noyb| 1 replyThat is impossible. I am not someone who is paranoid. Nor am I am person who owes anyone any money. All my bills are current and so is my tax so there is NO WAY that this call was because I owe money, so Hello right back at 'ya! I got the call AFTER 5p.m. and all offices are closed by then so I consider this call nothing more than something politically related.
- tinkerbell*Just a call from a State office reminding me of an appointment. No worries!
- Caller: Oregon State
- Call type: Event reminder
- Sara LaMotteI am a minor and today received a collection call stating I owed over $4000 dollars. I am under the age of 18 and how in the world would I have done this. The person asked if I had received unemployment. As a minor I do not believe I am able to do this. I will be reporting this information to the social security department. I will also find out from them if there is another place I need to contact for fraud and id theft.
- Call type: Debt collector
- flit replies to noybI got this call also and your post noyb is incorrect....We do not owe any monies. So your reasoning about owing a bill and the state would not call if we paid the bill is WRONG!!!
- JoI have gotten these everyday for the past several weeks. Sometimes every hour. They are calling my cell which I only give out to specific people. They have just called my work phone. *69 shows this number. They always hang up when or before I answer or before vmail picks up.
When I call the number, it has a disconnected message.
Lt. Birr of Salem Police was impersonated a while back, as making phone calls to confirm a $$$$ scam was legit., along with crooks posing as Federal Agents telling people they checked out the calls and company.
You don't have to be paranoid to know there are rotton people in the world to sceme and take advantage of unsuspecting people. Scams are elaborate these days. Be aware.- Caller: State of Oregon
- trish replies to IzzyBooMy hubby got a text from this number saying you said you would help me out and I need help now like 600 . Wow some balls to ask my man for money!!! I called it back and its not a true number! Good thing for them they would have got an ear full from me.
- back atchya| 1 replyThe number is a state outgoing number. This number probably used to be a residential number at some time. The state uses "residential" numbers for their outgoing purposes. However, individual state employees use "their phone" for other than official reasons. This type of phone harassment is none other than the state harassing citizens. And the citizen cannot determine who the caller is. If you have a block service: block that number. The number is associated with a number of Oregon government offices: public defenders, child support, child welfare ect and tax "revenue". The above mentioned harassment includes numerous calling (up to 25 times a day), prank phone calls (asking for people that don't live there, so they can see who is home), and not leaving a message. The possibility that they place a temporary software virus within your line to check up on you, or just to call for personal gratification. You can be sure the state is not using this for legitimate reasons, as there is no reason that they have a few random residential numbers to conceal "official" purposes. It is a state Oregon employee just harassing you. They wont trace it back to the phone.
- backagain replies to back atchyaUse *98 and call them back, at the proper phone number that is a state function (not the outgoing number). You can be sure that they do not like being called from a blocked or concealed number. The state could easily have an outgoing number that does not misrepresent itself, as a residential number.
- MaddyI made a series of complaints about another phone number that can be found here: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-503-457-1407
Just now I received a call from this "Oregon" phone number: 503-581-7668, from a gentleman named "Ray" in response to one of my complaints. He said the FTC was investigating the company in question and that I should call the following number to report my experience directly to them: 1-877-382-4357 which is the same phone number listed on: http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm
So, I think this is currently a phone number being used by the State of Oregon for outgoing phone calls.- Caller: State of Oregon
- BrookeI also keep getting a call from this number from a guy named Bryan. He doesn't say what it's about just to call him. If its from the department of revenue I don't know why I never filed taxes with Oregon. I just recently moved to Oregon so I don't if it has to do something with that but I can't call the number back.

That said, it is a trunk number for the State of Oregon. If you have dealing with anything with the state, Oregon Health Plan, Social Security, Taxes, Property etc, this is the number it will come in on. You don't have to owe the state money, just have some kind of business with them. geez.
