They called and demanded access to my computer. Also they were displeased over comments about forcing them to eat pork. They then kept calling every few minutes. Finally I got out of bed and put the number in my junk fax blocker. I strongly believe they are raising funds for terrorism by accessing peoples computers then charging ransom to allow them back in. This same scheme has been going around for years.

They even phoned a friend of mine and told her they had been receiving info that her computer network had been hacked. my friend has no computer

They tried to convince me that my network was corrupt and that I need to buy software to protect people from getting my info

They claimed to be YAHOO and my email was compromised.  Wanting access to my computer. BS

They called and said they were from Google Service and my husbands Google account and emails ( he has 3) were hacked. People in Russia were using his email for illicit purposes. Said they needed to repair our network or they would shut down his Google account because it could corrupt the Google server. They got very nasty when we said we thought they were just trying to scam us. Kept calling us!! We have blocked the numbers.

Phone call that I could not answer while driving. When home phone the number and the girl said she is with Microsoft and I was about to loose my account. She rattled off an account ID # at least 30 digets long. Then wanted me to go to my computer which I refused and said I was going to check on this phone number 503 616 7242 and here I am.

Very much like other calls, except caller threatened me with excessive call backs because I told her she was a scam and when asked where she was calling from she said SFO. I said you are calling from the Philippines. I hung up she called back twice leaving one message in English and another in one of the Philippine local  languages. I saved the messages.

Obvious robocall. Got a call from 607-249-2763 (they only said "Hello" to bypass the call screening) and then a text from 503-616-3295 stating "Hello, you just missing us calling you about your funds application. When you have some time give us a call: 833-592-2676"

They called twice wanting me to go on my husband's computer sovthey could talk me through to his email account.

He called me twice and told me that someone from a foreign nation ad access to my computer. HE said they were the "Network and Security Team" but could never give me the name of the company. The had me use the "window" and "r'" key to type into the search bar. It gave a rundown of different accesses, some from foreign countries. He said this was the evidence. He knew my computer's registration ID, which was strange. Is this public information?

Never finished because he said he was going to walk me through how to remove the foreign IP addresses. Didn't trust him so told him I would talk to my computer security company and see if they would 3-way call tomorrow. He said he would do the 3-way call. Will see what happens when I contact my computer security company tomorrow.

That is a scam run from India - The bit about "use the "window" and "r'" key" is a keyboard shortcut to the RUN command.  They wanted to get you to download malware that would allow them to control your computer to steal and control data.

If you downloaded anything you are at serious risk and should sign off your computer, turn it off and disconnect from the internet. Then have the computer checked out by experts who you know and trust, not located in India or Pakistan.

Caller, Alvina Johnson, said she worked with Security from Frontier.com.  She stated that they had received several requests to change my password and I needed to change it.  Asked if I had done this, I stated no and I had not experienced any problems with my computer.  I informed her I was busy on the  phoner trying to confirm me identity with IRS and told her I would not take the time to address this issue right now because I had tried twice to get my business straightened out with the IRS.  I asked for her name (noted above) and told her I would deal with this later.  She gave me another number (215) 324-0687 to contact her.  I don't intend to call either number and will not answer a call from either of these numbers.

They just called and said they were from the National Security Department... smh !!!! BEWARE !

I got several calls and I answered, he said he was from yahoo support and my email was being used to download pornographic content and explicit information and had me go onto my computer and type in the word “network” in the spotlight search. Then had me type “net stat” and Several foreign addresses popped up and he told me to delete them if they had the word ESTABLISHED next to them and said if you can’t, he can do it from his end… I automatically got freaked out and hung up. Did I give him access to anything I need to worry about??!!

Correction - he had me type in terminal, not network
