caller id said from Astoria, OR. left a message, a woman asking for me--as if she didnt know it was an answering machine she was talking to, which leads me to believe it was an automated system that connected her once the phone was answered.

Picked up...caller ID said SSI..no response. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I hope they will stop calling my cell phone!

Call from 503-741-4211 with ID SSI. Twice today. I answered but no response either time.

I was getting calls earlier this week that shows the caller as SSI.  Same number, but now the caller ID reflects said phone number with no dashes.  I've answered twice tonight, and there's never anything other than a slight beep.  Thought maybe it was an incoming fax, but nothing happens.

5037414211 on caller ID. Be careful on calls like these...I have heard that if you answer or call back, they can commandeer your phone number.  Don't answer, if you don't know who is calling.  If it is important, they will get your voicemail and you can call them back if it is someone you know.

Caller id said ssi answer and no respond than a beeping sound like a fax machine. Have no desire to answer again

Caller id said SSI, answered because number has local area code. No response. After reading warnings posted above I won't answer calls from this number again. I hate this kind of call.

Just got call.  No one there.  I do not have caller ID, which I sadly discovered is not
the same as number ID after I signed the 2 year phone contract....

Called back and it says its ssi and wants a survey to be taken at almost 8pm. Come on please. Ssi has an 800 number and they dont call u to do surveys.

Um ...
SSI = "Survey Systems International" ... and they DO call to do surveys.

Supplemental Security Income also = "SSI", but that is probably not the caller.

You really have to get out more!

This area of portland/beaverton/gresham area has had lots of complaints on them. They have used many many different numbers and called people up claiming to be lawyerd and bill collectors trying to scam people out of money. Theyve been doing this for yrs now. And they keep switching numbers using oregon phone numbers but wanting you to call 800 numbers back that are from new york or some stupid place.

"Hi, this is PetCo.  I wonder if I could ask a few questions?"  Live caller not familiar with presenting a professional survey.

I believe this is a survey company but they call repeatedly and when you answer there is never anyone there (robo-dial?). They never leave a message.

I just got a call from 5037414211 and it said SSI, I also got a call yesterday from 5037414213 with the SSI they are using different numbers.  I will not answer any numbers I don't know and they do not leave a message,  Sometimes I just turn the answering machine off and let it ring.

I just got a call from this number 5037414421 saying there A bill collecter

This number showed as being from Astoria, OR. - I believe it's a survey company associated with PETCO.

Came up SSI.  No response to my hello.  Line went dead.

Answered after receiving repeated phone calls from 503-741-4211, id said SSI.  Asked if she was speaking to an adult. Said they were doing a survey on education.  Asked how many kids I had in 9-12th grade.  Then asked how many in each grade.  Then asked to talk to my sophomore!  NO WAY!!!  She said she understood, thank you, goodbye.
