Get periodic calls, mostly early evening, this number comes up. No one on the line, just a click. Very annoying!

Yet another call from this number. Just dead air, then when I call it back I get a recorded message "thank you for calling customer service. If you would like your number removed from our call list please enter your number now."   That doesn't work because they don't even call with any message in the first place when it is just dead air, so how would anyone know rather they want their # removed from their customer list? Obviously a fishing expedition out of Astoria Oregon.

I have gotten several calls from the above number.  They don't leave a message.  Would like it to stop.

twice calls from this number today. never a message or anyone on the line if I pick up. it needs to stop.

I answered, even though Caller ID said CUSTOMERSERVICE, because it was a local (Portland OR area) number. Recorded message said something about being a notification of a shipment and if I wanted to opt out of future such calls I should call 888-xxx-xxxx. (I hung up before hearing the entire number.)

And the calls just keep on coming...

7 calls from this number in less than a week - same thing as everyone else is describing. No one speaks, dead air. I blocked these people three times already - and whoever it is calls back with a new number about three weeks later, but still from Astoria, OR. Extremely annoying - my cell IS on the do not call list. About to file a complaint w/ FCC...

Get several calls a day.  No message left.  A family member answered last time and the caller claims to be from "The Oregonian" and says our last payment was short $2.00 and they will take our credit card info to resolve the issue. Haha. We got this same scam recently from another number. We have reported to Oregonian and FTC.

Daily calls, sometimes twice daily.

A woman (sounded like she was reading from a script) said she was from the Oregonian and that she wanted to sign me up for Easy Pay. Gave numerous perks that I would get for using Easy Pay. I declined. So they said if I paid with my credit card just one time, I would get another free offer. I declined. Then they said I had an outstanding balance of $15 and if I gave them my credit card number they could resolve the issue. I told them I did not have any balance due. Then they wanted to know when I paid that. (I am sure whatever I would have said, she would have told me that payment never arrived and that I could pay it with my credit card. I told her I don't give out my credit card number over the phone and I hung up.

The Oregonian had an article "Answer This! Robocaller sued" Sat April 18, 2015. 1) Do NOT press any buttons. 2) File a complaint with the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov  3) register your phone number at www.donotcall.gov
I ignored all the calls that began April 15th, once or twice a day, as early as 9:21am until 5:42pm. Caller ID showed customer service. Finally picked up couple of days ago & got dead air, then a click. Just like the other complaints listed. Filed complaint with the FTC.

Have received numerous calls about renewing my Richmond Times Dispatch home delivery.  How did she know my expiration date for subscription?  Remember NEVER give any banking info over the phone.

Got the same call about my sunday paper, be careful this is a scam...
