Just got a call from them.  They claim to be some group that is anti-abortion.  Hung up on them.

The fake, spoofed phone number and ID have nothing to do with "pro-life" activity, and everything to do with getting you on the phone to scam you.

These morons try to use anything they can anymore because everyone is ON to all this crap. Got to be pretty stupid not to realize you don't pick up on numbers you don't recognize coming from people and places you've never heard of. They should be out of business by now. Make it unprofitable for them to ring your phone. Just let it ring in their ear and ignore it.

Caller ID showed PRO-LIFE.  My system blocked it.

No reason for them to call me on my cell unless they are a scammer or they have misdialed the #.  Wonder which was their reason?   Who cares?  I just blocked them.

Received call about 6:00 P.M. 4-6-17. No Message left.

Didn't answer. No message. Caller ID showed Pro Life

Called at 7:50 pm.  Did not answer, no message left.  ID=Kenner, LA

      Called on land line phone. I did not answer and no message was left or call was rejected as unrecognized, unidentified, unsolicited and in violation of DNC, so assumed a SCAM.
     Many thanks to the reporting community who contribute warnings and useful, helpful information.
    WE are our own and only first line of defense with CID; and NO ONE SHOULD ANSWER UNIDENTIFIED, UNRECOGNIZED, OR UNSOLICITED  NUMBERS, even if they appear to be local or toll-free numbers...they most likely are spoofed and originate out of the USA .. (Also, letting it ring wastes more of their time and money since they will be  paying for a service that doesn't work.)
    The second line of defense is to promptly hang up if you do answer, realizing that everyone does not have caller identification (CID). DO NOT RESPOND in any way...not by voice or selection, and DO NOT CALL BACK.
    Third, register all your numbers on the DO NOT CALL. (They never expire). Report any unwanted contact to FTC, DNC. Then, just by dialing your number unsolicited, they are in violation of the DNC, therefore assumed a scam. DNC cannot stop the calls, but it does weed out the scum.  A legitimate caller will leave a message putting you in control.
    One more...SHRED. Receipts and documents have a lot of information.
    SCAMMING AND PHISHING CAN ONLY SUCCEED IF THERE IS A MARKET AND WE ARE IT!  Be smart, alert, suspicious, and aware. Educate yourself, share and report.

Caller ID "Pro-Life".  I didn’t answer, and the caller did not go through the prompts to bypass my call screening device.

Called but left no message. Caller ID says "Not Available". Looks like this number uses different caller IDs. Obvious scam artist!
