IRS impersonators. They claimed that there were four serious charges against my name. I tried to call them back to tell them that I am not falling for their scam and am planning to file a complaint with the FTC against them. My first three attempts resulted in busy signals or “this call cannot be completed as dialed.” The fourth time, fifteen minutes later, there was a queue, and I was at work, and I decided that it would be a waste of company time to stay on the line to let them know that I was not falling for their scam and was planning to file a complaint with the FTC against them. In any case, they probably won’t stop what they are doing until the FBI show up at their door.

The IRS would never contact you by phone without sending you a letter first. I have not received a letter from them. This is how I know this is a scam.

Badly scripted computer voice saying rhey are from the IRS, saying "the cops" will take me into custody within 24 hours. Pretty sure IRS would have a real person with much better grammar.

I received the same call with the same syntax error stating the local “cops” would take me into custody and they also referenced the same four charges as the previous recipients stated. Please be aware the IRS will never call you, they will always send a letter. I was told this by an actual IRS employee who gives information to the public regarding scam calls being made fraudulently in their name.

This number is 504-298-7610 registered by operator Ymax Communications Corp. in Louisiana and number is from Magic Jack/Joke phone company......claiming there are From IRS and you are in trouble
who suppoes to do something about all these mess?

The call came through when I was driving home from work. My first thought was to pull over and immediately call the number back. Then I thought, when I got home I would put the phone number in google search to see what comes up; and I found you all relating your experiences with the number. So I am relaxed now and confident that it is a hoax.

Yes.. received this call the past few days...has to be a hoax. The IRS would get in touch by letter or formal communication. So would law enforcement. Ridiculous and annoying.

I received this call today and had received one a few weeks ago. Here is the message they left as my voicemail transcribed it:

"And once it get expired after that you will be taking under custody by the local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us. So that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you the number to reach us is 504-298-7610. I repeat 504-298-7610. Thank you."

Same complaints as everyone else. Claiming they have 4 counts against me , they are from the IRS, and that the local cops will come get me in 24 hours!
