I'm sure this is a Medicare scam.  "This is your Medicare provider.  Did you receive your new Medicare card yet?" "Yes I did." That right there puts me at risk.  Spoofed number--can't receive calls.

Yes it is a scam.
Medicare does not call to verify people received their card.  They also do not call asking for your Medicare number, personal information, or to update anything in your file.
Official Medicare correspondence is almost always sent via mail, not phone and Medicare representatives will only call if you initiated contact first, such as submitting an online form or calling their customer service line directly.
