calls with recording asking if you are so and so and wants you to press 2 if you are not

11 calls in 2 hrs and 20 minutes, no caller ID name, no message.

This is harrassment by any measure.

10 calls in 40 minutes yesterday, still with no caller ID or voicemail.  Then 2 calls in 10 minutes yesterday afternoon.  Seems they stop at 12 calls/day.

Now, two calls in 2 minutes this morning, also no caller ID no voicemail.  I expect a further 8 calls before 9AM based on yesterday.  25 calls with no voicemail or caller ID, in less than 36 hours.

Can only assume it is some collections call, nobody else would be so persistent.

Plan to answer later today when I have some time, get the caller to identify themselves personally, their employer, and inform them of no less than 3 infractions against FDCPA 1692.d which prohibits causing a phone to ring incessantly.  Also will inform them I cannot take calls while at work (7AM-7PM).  

Each violation of the FDCPA can carry a $1000 fine plus costs and other damages.

Complaints against collection agencies are way up, and many are aggressively violating the laws that exist to protect consumers, know your rights - do not be intimidated.
