Scam insurance kept calling over and over 8 times. They hang up call again repeatedly

Called from 540--929-9950 for "Jonathan Miller." Got a similar call (that is not my name) with a call back number of 508-506-9682.

Call from 707-408-5836 about filing a complaint, gives a reference number and instructs to call back at 508-506-9682. Definitely scam. No one is going to call and tell you that. They file and serve.

Some bogus threat about being in legal trouble and "You can stop legal action by calling the number and settling"... otherwise they say they have right to serve you at home and at your place of employment. I took this voicemail to my local police the 20+ time I got it.... their advise was to ignore it because it can't be traced to an individual. Helpful right? Lol Basically, just ignore this call. No harm will come to you from whomever this is that's trying to steal you money.

Well, they're right. Considering the number is probably spoofed, tracing it to an individual is next to impossible.

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Has been calling an average of 3 times/day and as much as 6 times per day. I have never answered. 2 years now. It started with a message threatening to serve me at "my place of business" if the matter wasn't resolved. I couldn't figure out what was going on since I have excellent credit and not so much as a speeding ticket on my record. Still I was slightly shaken, but thought maybe it was the wrong number. The calls kept coming, but within a couple of months the last message stated that "This message is to let you know you have officially been served." Nope, that's not the legal way to serve a summons! Now they've gone as far to call my ex wife and her partner with the same vague threats. As I type this their number popped up on my caller ID (or one of the many numbers they use, but always advise I call back the (508) 506-9682 number). I just don't answer the phone if I don't know the number. These robocalls are getting worse by the day. I've been on the Do not call registry for years, and reported it to the current strip down every regulation we can administrations governmental agencies Thanks FCC!

Call several times a day and caller ID says it's from Ledyard Ct (860)400-1455 saying that if my daughter does'nt call back she will be served at home or wotk and will lose all her rights

Called and left threatening message - i wish I could meet them face to face - all those messages would stop!!! Guarantee it.. Anyways they suck and they are now blocked scammer dirt bags..

Garbled message due to bad audio quality. Gave the phone number 508-506-9682 to call. I'm positive it is a SCAM and a not very well done one at that.

Called from 817-406-9176 asking for me by my maiden name...I have been married for 20 years! Talked about filing charges and once I have been located "it is too late". Left a reference number and told me to call 508-506-9682. I will not be returning the call.

Same experience - call coming from a local number but asked to call 508-506-9682 number to resolve two pending matters against me. SCAM!

Automated call ask for my wife said she had two pending matters against her and to call the508-506-9682 I called they first said she had a credit card that she hadn’t paid when I told she had never had that card she got hateful and said we would have to tell the judge and hung up so I called back another lady awsner and it sounded like she was at her house and said I could not speak for my wife before I said anything then hung up total scam don’t trust them

When you're being sued, it's filed and you're served. They don't leave a message with your name in a "robotic voice" and tell you they're actively searching for you. It's NOT hard to find you. Total scam.. Don't call and waste your time.

I received a disturbing voice mail that said a formal complaint has been filed against you and you need to complete the necessary paperwork.  They gave me a reference #
