Phone number was used for a bank verification for a scheme to defraud a victim in Michigan.  Suspects trying to get money through a green dot money pack to claim a sweepstakes win.

They have a new scam now. Someone calls and states that you have just been awarded a Loyal Citizens grant of $9000. This is a once in a lifetime grant free and clear for being a good citizen, paying your taxes on time and not being in trouble with the law. Hahaha. I have 5 traffic warrants, but anyway. Then this person gives you a confirmation # and then tells you to call this number (360)347-1808. You get this guy who does not speak English very well, and he asks for your confirmation # mine is GG11042. Now mind I shouldn't give this to you because then you can steal my good citizens grant, lol. Sorry, but after being ripped off by a phony Capital One these guys are real lousy. He asks do you know why you were picked for the grant. I said sure, no trouble with the law and paying my taxes on time. Trying not to choke on my laughter. I said what's the catch, the guy guy starts choking and put me on hold. Then came back, I ask, tongue in cheek, are you ok? I ask again, so what do I have to do to get this grant that BTW, is sent to you either by Moneygram or Western Union. He said well there is a registration fee. I said what company did you say you are with, he said not a company, but federal gov. I said ok, what branch or office . His answer, U.S. Finance and Treasury. I said ok, what is your full name and the mailing address, he starts saying something like lordy, lordy, lordy. I said I'm sorry what's your mailing address. He hung up on me. I tried calling back, I wanted to mess with him, he wouldn't answer the phone after that. So beware, New scam same great group and make note of the other number I put in here. Watch out for Mr. Thomas of the phony Capitol One Bank as well. Have a great day. Beverly

I receive  a phone call they gave me same  confirmation number and  ask me  to call  this  number  (206)536-1085 I never  call  to  claim my $9000 good  citizen grant.

It's good that you didn't call to receive your "good citizen grant" because you'd simply be wasting your time. There's no such thing. Grants must be applied for, they aren't just given away at random. You also don't have to pay to receive it if you do qualify for one, which is what these scammers will tell you if you call them back. Just block and ignore the number.

They just called me with same confirmation number, after first guy gave me confirmation number ZZ11042. They gave me two different numbers to call. (206)201-2922 and (202)594-9098. I told them to mail mine. They said they can't do that. Lol

They called me to give me a government grant, for $9000. Said they couldn't mail mine to me. Idiots. They tried to get me, but failed. Smh

Just received a call from India scammer saying that I was selected to receive a 9000.00 Government grant. I knew it was a scam. The government cover offers you anything free ! He wanted my bank acct # to put the grant into and I told him to shove it where it counts !

husband cell phone was called more than once, someone named Steve said if he did do something on his computer for microsoft his credit card will be charged,    UGH!!   sounds like a scam to me.

Said if I don't call and cancel my subscription that my account will be charged. When I asked what subscription he said fory computer license. I said I don't have a computer license and hung up but he called right back which I did not answer.

They called saying my subscription is ending, if I don't cancel by the end of the day I will be charged 399.00 for a Microsoft subscription which I don't have.
