Heavy indian accent, claims to be "Mike" from the IRS....usual lame scam trying to get you to give a CC number to pay the fine. I to go call ISIS next time.

Just received a call from this number from an American sounding lady stating this is the last call from IRS before they sue us....saw on the news this morning about this scam...

Just got the call and I didn't answer, they left a message saying I had a lawsuit against me! [***]!

Message left that the IRS is suing me. Left the 509-209-9395 number to call back. DELETED

Call from Jerry Gomez.  Saying it was the IRS. I owe money. Call them

Received a voicemail from this number. A recording said I was being sued. Spam call!

Reporting to be Alan Smith from the IRS, asked me to verify my name, mailing address and then wanted me to give my SSN. Hung up because it seemed like spam.

Spam shouldn't ask you for your SS#.

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

I've gotten a recorded call from this # a few times. It's a scam! There is no way the IRS will sue individuals. They don't need to. They would send you correspondences first by mail and identify themselves as Agent # xxxxxx on a recorded line type of thing. If the IRS makes a judgement that you owe money, they send it in writing and if you can't/don't pay, they'll garnish your wages, your property, etc. They don't need to go through a court, judge, trial, law suit, etc.

I have been preparing tax returns since 1980. The IRS will NOT call you for collections, they will send you letters.

my message was this;  "Hi-this is Jerry Gomez from the IRS, and we are auditing/suing you. please call this number immediately."  So I called the number-and held the phone over my toilet while flushing. They must really think people are stupid.

I knew it had to be a scam! Trying to suck 3,984 dollars outta me or else I was gonna have an officer at my door in 45 min to arrest me. HA! I received no notice in the mail of any such thing. I'll admit, they had me pumped for a minute. Then I looked the number up and saw it was all a scam.

This people keeps calling me but I don't answer the call because I rather obtain information about the number. Few weeks ago I did answer, it was an American man treating me because he said, I owed the IRS. I knew already it was not true, I keep all my finances in order and there is no need for that, I call the IRS and was explain that they don't do that and was able to place a complain against the people behind the phone call, I did not know who they were but I reported the call and phone number.

Man with heavy Indian accent stated he was Officer Adam Boyd with the Internal Revenue Service.

Indian man claiming to be with the IRS. I told him to stop calling and he hung up. If you call him back and tell him "this is a scam , please stop calling ", he hangs up. It's sad this idiot really thinks people are dumb enough to fall for this. I hope he gets caught .

I just got a call from the above number.  Very heavy indian accent.  They are going to file a lawsuit against us because we are not paying of our taxes. From the IRS.  I did not give him any information.  when I asked him for his badge number.  He just hung up.  I hope he gets caught.

I came home the other day to find a message on our answering machine, telling us to call 509-209-9395 "immediately." Part of the beginning may have gotten cut off, because I think I heard the word "department" just before 509. After seeing here that it was probably a scam, I couldn't resist seeing for myself. Sure enough, the man who picked up (no accent to speak of, so I assume he was an American) identified himself as if he were calling from the IRS. I burst out into loud laughter, which seemed to disconcert him to the point of speechlessness, and then I hung up.

Just got a text message stating that I’ve recieved a refund of $73.59. It was weird.
