Exact same thing happened to me down to the smallest detail you mentioned except I played around with her for ten minutes and hung up when I was sick of her.

They called me claiming to be from the IRS. Their English was so bad, I could barely understand them. The "supervisor" called me back and he was not much better. I told them their fraud was transparent since even the IRS wouldn't hire people who spoke English so poorly and they claimed that I couldn't speak English correctly! This is not Canadian Online Pharmacy - just some con-men who think they know which buttons to push.

Nice!  I just use a very loud whistle. Your way is far more subtle

Same here on my cell - and had my name.

Received 2 calls on different dates from this number.  Caller stated that since I had recently ordered VIAGRA they had a one time order deal for me.  I have never ordered Viagra nor intend to do so, especially from a Phone Order Company who operates from "who knows where."

This telemarketing "Canadian Pharmacy" scam is actually spoofing calls from India.

They have been calling me on average four times per month for about four years -- I never answer. They regularly change their number, so call blocking is virtually useless.

The only option seems to be to change your telephone number. Something I considered but decided against it given the low call volume. Fortunately, until today I had gone over 20 days without a call.

One tip is that before you answer check the caller ID. If it's a City & State, then there's at least a 90% change it's these relentless scums again. At least that has been my experience.

Called and asked to speak with the owner, they already knew his name. I said he wasn't available and that I could take a message. He instantly replied no I will call again later and as I told him it would be easier to leave a message,that way he could call back at a time better for him, the guy had already hung up.

Got so sick of the [***].  I had a 20 number call block list, but as they say it does not matter they just change numbers.  A portable air horn would work fine.  They are wearing headsets so it should rattle their chimes.

Got home from running errands today and found yet another call from this number.  (no message left).  I called the number back, and miracle of all miracles, someone answered "Hello?" (Indian accented male voice).  I said "Hello?"  He said "Hello, may I speak to Mr. (someone's first name) please?"  I said "That's very interesting, I was the one calling YOU!".  He said "Oh, how may I help you?"  I told him that I just came in and saw the number on my caller ID and was just wondering who it was that was calling me.  He said it was a Canadian pharmacy, so I told him  "Now I know, thank you very much, have a wonderful day." and hung up.  =)   How odd that he would answer by asking to speak with someone!!

Here's what you do...play interested. In fact, be polite, excited, and string the guy along as long as humanly possible. These guys get paid by the sale, and time is money. Draw the conversation out as long as possible. Ask questions. Dumb questions. Repeat questions over and over. But keep them on the line. Lead them to believe that they are absolutely positively going to make the sale.

Tell them you're going to order a large, but not absurd amount of whatever it is their hawking..make it like a $400-600 order. Their going to need payment of course. But you don't have your credit card/debit card/checkbook next to you, so ask them if you can just set the phone down a moment while you go run and get your wallet/purse/etc...

Set the phone down. Do not hang up.

Canadian pharmacy but these guys are from India. They do not abide by the do not call rules.

This is crazy! These people are from india obviously and they are calling my sons phone every day! He asked them to stop but start cursing at him. I will get authorities involved if necessary

Do not call list does not work anymore.

I use caller ID.  Any call by numbers not known is not answered.

(509) 246-6296 is one of several numbers they use.   They disregarded the US Federal don't call database.
