- Gabriela ZSo, this number called me, 4 times in one day. I answer and it’s a recording about my apple account/security being compromised, I hung up called Apple. And they verified it’s a phishing scam. Apple will NEVER call you if your accounts have been compromised. They’ll temporarily disable your account, so you HAVE to call Apple. Block this number.

- Kelli replies to LisaSame happen to me exactly. He wanted my IMEI off my iPhone at which point I said I was calling Apple to see if this call is legit. He said he was Apple . I hung up and called my local Apple store. He said SCAM. Apple will only notify you by email with instructions for you to follow if there is a problem . They don’t make phone calls.

- Caller: Claims Apple

- Not GullibleSo I received a call from said number, stating my Apple Cloud ID was compromised, so I pressed 1 to talk to a tech. I played dumb and said I didn't have an Apple device, so they said it was from entering my number in my Google personal information. I played dumb, and they took me to a site WWW.SUPPORT.ME, then gave me a 6 digit code to enter. If I would have done so they would have had complete control of my computer. I didn't play dumb this time, and didn't do it.

- LouRobocall. Apple will not call u with a robotic, artificial intelligence voice. This is a scam plain and simple, and a poor one at that. They create urgency that something bad will happen (your account will be closed; data and pictures lost) unless u do something. Hang up. It's all BS.

- David CI just received a call from this number saying that my Apple ID was being used suspiciously. The caller had an Indian accent, although he claimed he was calling from the US. He said my apple ID would be canceled if I didn’t allow their "Apple certified" technician to take control of my computer. Of course this was for my protection. They gave me a support web site for Log Me In. This is a site that will produce a code on the user end and upon giving to them, will allow them full access control over my computer.
The scam went on and on. They said that my Apple ID had caused corruption on my network and that all my devices had been hacked. He asked me if I was using a Widows or Apple computer. I asked him to tell me as he found my ID and devices. He asked me to verify the phone he was talking to me on. I said that he called it, he should know the number.
When I refused to allow them access, they became belligerent and said they were going to shut down all my devices and cancel my Apple ID. I told them they were thieves and scam artists and that they should be in jail. As you can imagine, the conversation went downhill from there.
BEWARE! These guys were very good. Having been in technical support I knew they were bogus, but they did a lot of things that my wife would most likely believe they were legit.
