Caller from this number said they were the IRS and were filing a lawsuit against me.

Me too!  And there's no reason for them to.  Although I have a small business that was open for 6 months & made ZERO money so there was nothing to file. And filed 2 tax returns since then so if they were actively pursuing that, it would've happened already.  And since when does the IRS "sue" people?. So I'm wondering if they're trying to scam me for THAT. I don't know but I'm trying to find out

Caller ID read "private name, private number".  Left message IRS was pressing charges against me.   They think everyone is gullible for this scam.  Feel sorry for those who believe it & are frightened enough to respond to these criminals.

Also received same automated message from "IRS" stating this was final notice and were filing law suit against me. Could barely understand the return phone number.

Got the same call. This scam went around last year or year prior. FYI the IRS will NEVER call you...they send you a letter if anything wrong with taxes. It states that on their website. Hopefully no one falls for this.
