It's scam. They say you have been sued by the irs. I asked them to send me a certified letter and they hung up. The say they are in Washington, D.C. But sound like their from India with poor accents

They have called me at least 5 times, also saying that the IRS has filed charges against me. Since I know that isn't true, I haven't  listened to their number and hung up. Apparently, that doesn't deter them. Are people really stupid enough to fall for this kind of thing?

Just had a message with this callback number claiming that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. Pure BS. The IRS will never call you. Pure scam.

called the number back. it rang and rang and rang. finally automated voice saying no one available to answer your call (no [***]!) and your call will be disconnected now

When I called back to the number left on my answering machine, the 'internal ravanew, how can I help you?' clued me that it was a scam!

The message they had left on my answering machine was incomplete as my answering machine message is 15 seconds long and they must have started talking earlier (and ignored the message that tells telephone scammers, solicitors, politicians etc., to put my number on their 'do not call list')
All I heard of their message was to call the department office immediately and this phone number.
The English on the recorded message was good. The English of the guy that answered when I called back was barely understandable.

Just had this number recorded on my caller ID that it was the IRS, and that I was being sued and to call them back.  Should I call them back, start kidding, not even thinking about calling them, my taxes has been filed correctly, thank you very much!

Received a call from 509-288-4649 stating the caller was from the IRS and I was being sued by the IRS. I needed to call their department immediately at the above stated number. This is obviously a scam, I am not returning the call.

Caller says I am being sued by the IRS. I know it isn't true.

Oh! Heavens to Betsey! Our answering machine said we are being sued by the IRS! What ever shall we do??? We are sure this won't be the last call from these scammers.

Got a call from this number saying that it is a final notice from IRS.  Hey, I file a tax return, working with accountant every year.

Wow...received 3 messages stating we are being sued by the IRS and to please call the 'ternal revenue' back at this number.  'Taint gonna happen.

Left message stating I was being sued by Irs and to call this number back. Not!!!!!!
Just said this was final notice from Irs.and from Colfax Wa.

Did not recognize number on caller ID so i didn't answer. Message left on my voicemail that I was being sued by the IRS and said to call 509-288-4649. This same number was on the caller ID. I file my taxes every year so there is no reason to file a lawsuit against me!?

Got a message that I was being sued by the IRS. I called them back, they asked how much I owe, I said, "what does this have to do with the lawsuit?" He then proceeded to cuss me out: "You mother f-er, don't f-ing call me back." and hung up.

So now I'm just calling over & over, hoping to tie up his phone line.

received a message from this # on August 3, 2015 that I was being sued by the IRS. When I called it back it rang and rang until someone finally pickup.  When I started asking to speak with someone that actually spoke english that i could understand, the guy hung up on me.  Received another message today August 4.

This is a SCAM and this person is calling everyone apparently.  He is threatening Federal Legal action.  Please stop this fraudulent caller!

I received 3 robocalls yesterday and 4 calls today from this number. I filed a complaint on tigta.gov and a police report at my local PD. I dealt with this same "group" of scammers in feb 2015 and was advised to take further action if it did not cease.

Got my second call 8/5/15 at 10am by unknown caller. Again being sued by IRS. Auto call!
