Message left on answering machine saying this is a Final notice from IRS; IRS is filling a lawsuit against you, please call, 509 315 3020 for more information.

Got call from 50-
9-315-3020 IRS indicated, total BS scam.

Got the same call about IRS filing a law suit and to call them back.

automated voice has called several time for the last few weeks saying they are from irs

These idiots called 4 x's today, with the final one being the same message as above. This number has been very busy in the past 24 hours? I just wish I only knew how some of us get bugged continuously by all the scammers and other people are never bugged. Just would love an answer to that. Would also love to call them back and tell them I am either from the FBI or a serial killer coming to get them! LOL. Saw that others tried to call back to no avail. Oh well, time to block another idiot!

A totally bogus call ! They are trying to scam you, so do not give them the time of day, unless they ask politely.

I just received a call as well, it was an automated system about "IRS is filling a lawsuit against you, please call, 509 315 3020". I díd call  back, someone  answered. Couldnt understand him,  then hung up  on me, I  tried again, talked to some else who kept asking  " are you miss green? I go no,  then put me on hold for ever. ,,,,JERKS SOME ONE STOP THEME !!!!!!!!!   URGENT!!!!!!!!

The United States government should send special forces over to the country where these scam artist are and bring them back here for some justice.

Same message about the IRS filing a lawsuit, it was so garbled it was difficult to understand.
My guess is their machine is wearing out from calling so many thousands of people.
You would think the government would try to track down these jerks pretending they are from the Federal Government.

I live in area code 509. My caller ID said "Out of Area" but showed up as just 315-3020.
Same scam......IRS is taking me to court. Laughed at him and hung up. Called back dialing it as a local call......female answered as "IRS Criminal Division". I told her I was in the area and would be right down to their office. She hung up.

The IRS DOESN'T CALL TO COLLECT$$$. It's a scam. If you owe the IRS they would contact you by mail.

Received a message stating the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I returned the call and talked to a man with pakistan or east indian accent. Said his name was Peter Marshall. He said I owed $4000 and I could settle out of court. I asked him to provide me exact details. He could not. I asked him to mail me in writing how the $4000 was added up. He said that I will need a lawyer if we go to court. I told him I have a CPA who will represent me. Then I said see you in court and hung up..

I received the same 'unknown' caller ID with an automated message left that the "IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call back this listed number for more information." I ignored and suspected it to be a scam- just as other smart folks on this posting thread have pointed out. FYI- generally, lawsuit filings require notice in the form of an official letter or a process server delivering in-person the letter with notice of the lawsuit.
