Call was a recording saying IRS was going to start legal action.  I have received no mail from IRS

Just got a call from them, too. I am ignoring it.

Automated call saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and action will be taken. I am to return the call to get more information.

It is against the law to impersonate the IRS or any other government agency.  The scam that these people inflict on others is awful.  Please hang up on these types of phone calls.

Just received call on cell with the recorded message about IRS lawsuit and to return the call. (Caller ID: Othello  WA).  Got the exact same recorded message from 509-588-7308 yesterday.  SCAM!  IRS mails out letters and may/rarely call but only when you initiate phone contact first.

same as above - IRS filing a lawsuit. robotic voice. no personal or specific information given. Will not call back.

Please advise how we can stop this BS.

Another scam call with a different number yesterday it was 509-588-7308.
The IRS does not call you. They just take your money from your acounts and a lien will show up on your credit. There is no suit that precedes that. You call them.

same as everyone above...I just let my answer phone pick up...but what can be done to STOP this?  got a calk yesterday from 509-588-7308...and today from this number...ridiculous that they cant be stopped

Same as above.  IRS calling, I am being sued, blah, blah, blah.  Called back someone with an Indian accent answered IRS.

Also got a callfrom them 10 mins. Ago saying all the same thigs. Called it back. I dont believe it is the irs either.dont give any info to them!

Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated.  Simply ignore and block.
