Got a call from this number, said they were the IRS & were gonna file a law suit against us if we didn't call this number back! IRS would never call you at home like this...total scam!!!

I got the same message, at 5:40 AM!!!

My husband got call from them too today and they said same thing to my husband that they were going to file a lawsuit against us if he doesn't deposit $ 3500.

Received a VM on 3/7/16 from this number stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and to return the call immediately. Glad I checked this website. It seems this is a scam!!

Got a call from this number saying its was filing a case. I always look up numbers and see if it's a scam and according to several websites it is.
Thanks to people like you I don't have to call the irs to see if it's real

Thanks to all of you and your information, I simply didn't answer  the call. I've disabled my voicemail so criminal scum can't even leave a message. My CID says "Benton City, WA", although we all know these are criminals attempting to defraud us through fear.  First, the IRS doesn't ordinarily call individuals, unless, perhaps if you're being audited.  They usually correspond by mail, although I just received correspondence from the "IRS", but even that is suspect as I've never received this type of mail from them ever before.  With all the IRS fraud going on, especially from prison inmates and illegals, always check directly with the IRS!  Thank you so much for your info!

REceived a call just now from this number.  There was no one on the line for about 30 seconds til I heard a prerecording of "Good Bye" and it hung up.  I am the type where I will screw with you if you call me from a number like this.  Idiots

Just received a voice message (I don’t answer unknown numbers) saying they are the social security administration and they suspended my SSN due to suspicious activity and I should  “press 1” for more info.
My roommate received the same message from a number in New York.

The latest scam!

Just called cell phone.  Scam call from Eastern WA.  Only this wasn't IRS, it was Social Security and my number is being misused.  One of the very few scams (maybe only 1%) that leaves a voice mail message.  Very official deep voiced sounding scammer.  Makes it sound so very official.  We can hardly resist calling them.

Said they were from Social Security Administration and there was questionable activity with my ss#. Read here it was an IRS phone number too. Sad all the scam calls going on now.

I have the same phone number who called me but it wasn't about lawsuit or anything it's about Social Security fraud

Forgot to add that Benton City WA has a population of about 3,700 people.  Wow!  IRS and Social Security really like to blanket the US with offices.  Benton City!!!!

Total scam.  Social Security numbers cannot be suspended. Man, get a real job!

I got a call about my social security number. They asked me my name and i said you called me so what's my name and they promptly hung up on me.
