I received a call stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.  Be on guard.

I may be old but I'm not stupid.  It's a scam!

Purportedly recorded call from the IRS, so called "last call" .. a total scam, shame on whomever did this, must frighten some people.

I got the same thing.  I just moved in and it's a new number.  Think I will call the FBI and see what they say.

So I got the call yesterday left the lawsuit message. Called back to day man that answered very rude. I told him I was returning the call from the message I had gotten. He asked is this your cell phone or home phone and what's your name. I said shouldn't you know you're IRS right. He said is this Mrs. last name. Not even married. Boyfriend last name. Said no . First name correct but not last name so he decides to hang up on me. Called back busy line over and over again. BEWARE EVERYONE THIS PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO FOOL US AND GET MONEY..

Robo call stating the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me & to call the number given. I immediately knew it was a scam because that's not how the IRS works.

Just got a phone message that said it was the IRS and that I needed to call 509-878-3591 immediately because the IRS was suing me.  I immediately typed the phone number into google and found this site and felt relieved.  I am so glad that this site is available to expose scams.  Thank you for the tip on reporting IRS impersonators to:  www.tigta.com

I just got the same message.  Number was private and a robot told me this is my final notice and that the IRS is suing me and to call back 509-878-3591.  I knew it was a scam as soon as I heard it.

Scam! Just called me; claiming to be from the IRS, gave me a name, a badge #, and case file #. Told me I had a class action law suit filed against me and owed the IRS thousands upon thousands, and gave me 2 options and I had to decide RIGHT THEN. I couldn't consult with my family or call them back. One option was to have a sheriff show up at my door, and the other was to just send them the money. I got no letters previously.

This call was so damn hilarious that I am sorely tempted to call it back and play along.

... but I'd rather them just think my # is "dead".  Hmmm, perhaps from a pay phone ...

Robo call stating they are the IRS, and IRS is suing me! Second call this week. First was man on phone telling me IRS suing me and then follow up with robo call today!  Scam alert! Never give out any information. IRS would not call and leave messages!  509-879-3591 Don't answer. Can be a little intimidating!

I just got the same message. I then searched the internet and found this web sight and i have to say thank goodness there is a place for us to help each other out. Who knows how many people might have been scammed by these crooks. I just wonder with this many people complaining why they haven't been shut down already.

Because other countries do not cooperate with us.  Their government officials count on the bribe money these criminals pay them to look the other way.
