THIS IS SPAM.  First of all, with long distance in the US starting with 1, no phone numbers start with 1 (or even 0) for those spam numbers.  Secondly, this call was supposedly from the Social Security Administration that there has been fraudulent activity on my SSN and it will be suspended if I don't contact them. SSA will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER contact you by phone. If they need to get a hold of you, they will do it by snail mail with a certified letter. The only way your SSN will be suspended is if you die. Please don't fall for these spam calls.  (This is the third call from these people just this morning.)

I also got three calls this morning from "Social Security" with an automated recording advising that my account has been suspended and to press"1" to speak to an "Agent."  Each call was from an almost identical number with the only the last two digits different.  I pressed "1" and spoke in Spanish t the "Agent" who answered.  He asked me to speak English. In Spanish, I told him I only speak Spanish and he hung up.  What a scam!  I guess these people are desperate!
