This number is harassing me about money I don't owe

They call from all sorts of numbers. Now I got an email threatening me with court.   I have no idea who they are.  I know who and what I owe I keep very good records.  So I don't know who they are or why they are harassing me. I sent a return email telling them I will file charges if they don't leave me alone. Now to change my email and phone numbers. ..

I received an email threatening to take me to court, and contact my employer if I don't respond in 24 hrs. I have NEVER taken out, or received a cash advance. They also sent me a docket number, but the funny thing is, the last 4 of the SSN, didn't belong to me. So, I guess we they will be taking someone to court, just NOT me. What I don't need is for them to harass me at work about a scam. I forwarded my email to the FTC.

Claims they are the IRS and is filing a lawsuit against me.

It's an Indian guy an IRS scam have fun with him give him a phone and credit card numbers or phony bank account numbers it's fun to watch them get really into it and then you slam the hammer down.

Left a message about the IRS coming after me. Number now blocked.

These indian people have once again started calling and harassing american citizens why cant anyone do some thing about this.

"why cant anyone do some thing about this." You're someone, why don't YOU do something? Block the numbers they call from. And remember, they're calling from overseas so there's little else anyone here can do.

Message left is a recorded message with a woman's voice that says "This is a final notice.  The IRS is filing a lawsuit ......."   I blocked the number.

called at 1726 in order to leave a message informing us that the IRS was taking legal action against us.... blah blah blah. they left no caller id. this number is now blocked.
To Kat: Individual people have little power, that's why they elect representatives with all the variable and mighty power of our government  to protect them from harm.  The NSA records every single phone call made within and especially from outside our borders. Many of us, not you of course, feel that our government officials could do more to protect us from these criminal thieves. Our nation's elderly citizens are the ones most frequently targeted, and a few of them have their life savings lost to these low thieves.  If we choose, we can exercise great economic pressure on India, or Pakistan or Bangladesh or wherever these calls are originated....
