- AnonymI got a text from my co-worker telling me some dude Mr. Samuels left a message for me to call him back on a "personal matter" at 510-545-8941. Ive been phone calls from different numbers telling me the same thing and Im tired of it. So i called the number back and i yelled at him telling this bum not to call my work or my phone. These scammers are getting on my nerves and they are not doing a very good job of trying to get money.
- FP| 3 repliesI got a call from an Officer Shaun Parker, supposedly IC3, that he had a file against me, and that he would report me to the FBI for internet fraud. Back in the summer the same guy called me, and I placed a complaint against him with my local Sheriff Department
- Sad but True replies to FP| 1 replyThis is an offshore payday loan debt collection extortion scam that has been going on for at least five years. The FBI is aware of it but is unable to go after those involved due to lack of money and manpower. I looked back and found some old information which may prove to be helpful:

- Justine"Officer Logan" called from the 510-545-8941 number at 8:45 am the day after Christmas. He threatened me with unspecified legal problems if I did not call him back. I called him as I was a bit upset and he told me it wasn't him that originally called but, I knew it was him pretending to be someone else. He said that he was from the IC3 and was representing an internet creditor Cash-net. Same spiel and as he was rambling on, I said not to ever call me again and hung up. I am glad I found this post and see what is going on.

- ShannondoahToday i recieved 2 calls from this number. The guy had an Indian accent, and stated his name was matthew. The voice mail stated, i have to call him back as soon as possible. "If he doesnt hear from me the only thing he can do is wish me good luck, as this situation unfolds on me." WTF?!?! So i called the number back. The first time i called during my brake at work, his name was mark and he said that he recieved a claim on my social security number because i failed to pay a $300 payday loan from fastcash. I was very concerned because i did recieve a payday loan about 2 weeks ago, but i have been paying on it. And i havent recieved any phone calls from the loan company. I stated this to the guy and he said that they took the money out of my bank account becuase i didnt pay the $300 upfront and they would continue to do that unless i paid the money to his company. I then explained to him that i am paying the money and i will not pay the loan over the phone and he said, "GOODBYE" like he was going to hang up on me!! Thats when i started to get pissed and i told him not to hang up on me because i wanted more info out of him. I started asking questions and he hung up on me. I then explained the situation to one of my co-workers and she said the same thing happened to her a couple months ago, who also got a payday loan. I called the number back and it sounded like the same guy, but his name was now richard, and he stated that if i pay his company the money within the 14 day grace period there would not be anything reflected on my credit. I thne asked him if he knew which bank i went to and my account #, which he did. I then told him that i will be contacting my bank and my loan company before i paid him anything. He then said, "NO, NO, NO, there is no need to call your bank. I dont want any conflict." I stated, " oh so you dont want me to call my bank?" He said, " no there is no need, goodbye." I then said, "DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN, if you do i will be calling the cops on you. And he hung up.
I called my loan company who confirmed that i was up to date on my payments, and they never gave my info out to any credit agency.
DO NOT give these people any INFO if they call you. They are a SCAMMM!!!!!- Caller: IC3

- JenniThis 'Matthew' character called me this morning 2 times. The first call he said the same crap, u owe money blh blah. 1st, I have never received a payday loan. He then said I have 'legal complaints' or something like that. I advised him that here in AMERICA any legal complaints or lawsuits would be sent certified thru the mail sent from our judicial system rather than a Indian call center. Come on son.... He put his supervisor on the phone and after I told him I am recording the call he hung up. Like really?just use common sense people. When it come to legit legal matter, there is a process that must take place and I GUARANTEE a script-reading, poor english, call center con artist is not a part of it.

- Judith| 1 replyI received several calls - messages were left from Mike Wilson, INTERNET CRIME PREVENTION, saying claims had been filed against my name and my social security number, and if I don't return their calls today, there is nothing they can do to protect me!! At least I think that's what we said. He was extremely hard to understand... What I was pretty sure of is that it is a prank/annoyance/unfounded call and I won't be answering or returning any of them. That's why I immediately went on line and researched the phone number. I was NOT surprised to find numerous complaints about the number.

- AtaviThis person with a VERY VERY HEAVY INDIAN accent called me today 16 times, and left messages threatening me that my social security number will be reported to the FBI, also, from what I could make out from his heavy accent he wanted me to call him immediately and verify my social sec number, dob, with him, and pay some bill, which I don't have any bills. SO I already know this is a scam, but to call ME THAT MANY TIMES AND LEAVES A MESSAGE EVERY SINGLE TIME???? I also copied the call stamp information from Google voice, as this number he called is an old Google voice number I don't even use anymore. I reported the number as a PHISHING SCAM, per Google's Term of Service... I also blocked the number from being able to call me again. I also am reporting this number to all major phishing scam websites. Do NOT REPLY TO THIS PERSON, report them please.

- Bernard RyneckiI have received several telephone calls from 510-545-8941 requesting I pay a payday loan for $310 or they would pursue the matter in court. I have not had any loans of any type for over 10 years. Heavy Indian accent. I told him (recorded line) I would like to see the documentation for the loan. He said, "too late for that". These scammers are amazing. They expect me to pay a loan I never applied for or received and then refuse to supply documentation! How can I report this?? A Federal agency? State? anyone who has info me send to me. Thanks Bernard brynecki@gmail.com or 860.216.8963 (and how did they get my SS#??!

- IRISHBUDDATotal scam. They keep saying they can't find your file and then ask for your address, full name and SSN. They want to steal your ID!!!! Just made a video on YouTube called Indian Payday Loan Scam with my nickname
- macmama5 replies to Sad but TrueThank You so much for all the info and links that you provided! Also thanks to "Sam". I also have been plagued by calls from these bottom feeders, but at least I know I'm not alone and what to do. There has to be a way these guys can be stopped. It will take everyone complaining, filing reports with law enforcement, and eventually these agencies banding together and pooling resources. I wonder if any of the investigative news programs would be interested in this. I'll give it a try.
