Called me to offer a one way trip to Jupiter.

Caller ID said SSI, so I picked up. They began the survey by asking questions they should already have the answers to, if it was SSI who was actually calling. Idiotic questions like are you on a cell phone or a land line? Questions about ethnicity. Then it got political wondering if I wasn't going to vote in the upcoming election. None of which I had an specific answers to but it was time to hang up. The whole ordeal lasted less than a minute but was long enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Can't trust anything you see on the caller ID anymore.

Been calling for days. I never answer. No messages. Just called again 3 times in 5 minutes (after 8pm). Blocking both numbers they call from. Sick of it.

Now they're calling from a third number 510-455-8177

I got 3 calls in a row from these people. That last call was 9:30pm !!!

Just called. Hubby answered before I could tell him not to. He said hello 3 times. No one there. Now blocked. These idiots called last week from number 510-455-8180. Didn't answer that one. Let it ring to my fax.

Still going on - Got calls from "SSI" on this number plus 510-455-8177 in the last few days.  There should be a way to stop these calls, as someone will end up being a victim.  I never answer the calls and my neighbor always does.  Doesn't seem to make a difference in the frequency.  If I ever do answer, I'm going to remember the line "I charge for my time" if it is a survey and then name some exorbitant figure!  Should tell my neighbor about that, too. Genius!

"There should be a way to stop these calls".  Well a simple search of the internet would have given you that answer.

I don’t personally know if the above link will actually take you off their list, but I have been told a couple of times that it does work.

Just received another call (8:22 PM) from yet a different number which comes up on caller ID as SSI: 510-455-5621.

called the land line 12jun2017. left no msg. caller id says SSI. hmmmmmmm

SSI shows on phone.  Calls everyday around 6 pm, never leaves a message.

called my cell phone this evening I did not answer. I am getting frequent calls from numbers I do not recognize so I just don't answer.

Caller ID showed SSI and an hour later got another call from 455-8180 also showing SSI on caller ID.  Govt doesn't call at this time of night.  See reports above.

Here we go again = these idiots haven't called since May 2015 so I guess I've been lucky.  Called last night at 8:50PM - no message left of course

Caller ID was “SSI.” Hard to understand message left, slight Indian(?) accent with busy boiler room back noise, “Good evening. This is ?. I’m calling from the National (League??)  of Washington, May I please speak to ...” Now blocked!

SSI is Survey Sampling and BigA left a link on how to get rid of them. Don't tangle with random calling foreigners, just hang up on them if you've got to take the calls. SSI is more of a nuisance caller than a scammer, but there's nothing really worth dealing with them over.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

I answered this call and a very aggressive woman with a thick accent asked me to participate in a survey about rent in Oakland. I went along for a few moments, but she wanted to know how I would vote on a specific measure that she proceeded to read to me, verbatim.  Her accent was very thick and I didn't understand what she was saying. I caught something about homeless people and vacant buildings, but her English was very poor. I tried to be polite by telling her I would need to read it myself to make a truly informed decision, but she kept interrupting me, arguing with m,  and insisting
that I listen to her read the measure again. I had to hang up on her. Sorry, annoying person.

Got a call today, since the caller ID said SSI, I knew it has to be from one of these low life con artist wanna be LOL
