- AnnoyedI just received a call from this number, but they did not leave an answer. From what I am reading I know it's this fake company that is involved with a payday loan company, that we may have borrowed from. We are not in trouble or anything. I paid my loan back a long time ago. I told them previously not to call me unless they send me some documents in the mail. This is a fraud company and I have reported the various numbers that they call me from.
- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Valid

He said I signed up for debt management program, which I didn't. I told him to take my name off his list 3 times and then hung up. - mike| 3 repliesThis nutjob called twice. Says he's from Microsoft Certified Tech Dept and that my computer is loading the Win32 virus to the International routing system. I got all his info, then told him he was full of crap.. there isn't such a thing. He said I should call Houston, TX at (510)722-6000 for fix the problem and ask for Maven Inc. He identified himself as Pat. (As Indian as his accent was, his name was prolly not Pat.) I laughed at him and he gave the whole story again. 510 is an area code for California, not Texas, but I didn't know that when I had him on the phone. I keyed in the phone number on Google and started reading hiim all these posts. When I asked if I could talk to STEVEN RICHARDS (since someone had posted it) he asked me to hold on and then disconnected.
Seriously, what a doof.- Caller: undivulged
- IRS agent replies to mikeJust got a call from this number and it was someone with an Indian accent telling me that my computer is downloading a malicious trojan virus to the IRS and it needs to be stopped immediately. He tried to get me to run some program and when I started questioning him he got defensive and told me that he was a Sr. Technician and didn't need to answer my questions. I asked him for his name and number and he gave this number and then I hung up. STAY AWAY!
- TOO BUSY TO MESS WITH ITI received a call from a man with an Indian accent. Sounded like telemarketers in the back ground. He said he was from the Microsoft 35 tech department and my computer was sending out copious amouns of malicious software. I told him I would have our IT dept call him and he left this number as a call back. He said his name was Calvin
- WARNING--Get all of the facts| 1 replyAbout 40 minutes ago, I received a phone call from "Calvin in India." This is the same name as the one phoning the "TOO BUSY TO MESS WITH IT" person, before me. He told me that Microsoft had authorized him to phone me about my computer having a virus that was sending e-mail to other people with the virus. I really, really pressured "Calvin" for more information about THE Microsoft Company. When I requested a phone number to phone back for verification, "Calvin" gave me this phone number: 510-722-6000. When I asked for a toll free number, he said they plan to have one in the future. That was enough for me to know positively that this was NOT a Microsoft company that I would ever do business with. "Calvin" also told me the name of his "technical department," after I had insisted on knowing that information: "Maven Inc." (I have no idea if that is accurate information for this phone number--but I want others to be aware of this abuse of privilege--he definitely didn't have my prior approval for phoning me.)
- Caller: Claimed to be Microsoft and Maven Inc.
- ME TooJust got a call from Calvin also. He told me he was from Microsoft Certified Tech Dept. Said my computer was infected with win 32 virus and wanted me to go to some website for him to help me.
Told him no way wanted verification that he was Microsoft employee and yes he gave me his name and a phone number..... Guess which one LOL...yup that’s right 510-722-6000. I notified FTC and filed a complaint with them. Maybe all you should also..........so people don't fall for this. Some Elderly people are very vulnerable to this type of scam. I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone.- Caller: Microsoft Certifed Tech Dept SCAM
- GeorgeThis guy told me the same thing, said he was a certified Microsoft service provider. He said my computer had a virus and was sending out malicious email. He told me to go to www.irssupport.net. Then he wanted me to hit the button for live support. I told him I had a problem at the house and needed a call back number. He gave me 510-722-6000. I googled the number while on the phone and gave him the feedback from here. From the Live support screen victims of this scam are only one click away from providing this guy with unfettered access to your computer. Once in he can get all personal information on your computer including saved passwords. From there he can potentially access bank accounts or whatever.

- [***]I can't believe this idiot is still doing this to innocent people. I just got a call from this idiot that told me that I was getting viruses too. Yeah, India with a phone number of 510-722-6000. I punched in the number on the computer and sure enough, I was almost a victim of this donkey. A certified Microsoft technician my donkey!!! I went along with it for a bit, until it got to the part where I had to run the computer. The page was on Ammy something. I hope he gets caught. All of us who have been victimized or was reached by him, I hope we get a piece of him. What a loser.
- Susan| 1 replyI had a call today from a man with a "strong" East Endian accent saying he was from Microsoft and that my computer was infected. He said that I needed to sign on because my computer's hard drive was ready to crash and that all of my identity was being stolen. He said that my computer was flashed on Microsofts In't computer telling him major threats were being reported from my computer. I panicked and almost let him sign on to correct the problem. That would not have been good! Huge Scam! I am disappointed as I had always trusted my relations with India and Norton. Now I don't know who to trust!
What a world!! I asked for a return number and that I would call him back. The number he gave me was 510-722-6000.
