Says he's from Citizen's United.  Giggling girl in the background.  Asked if I supported Obama's healthcare act.  I hung up when I heard continued giggling. I don't think this was legit.

Asked something about music with no singing. Then when I said, "What?" it was disconnected.

Called and hung-up.  Don't answer harrassing calls.  Am on the Do Not Call List, so Do Not Call!!!

I was letting answering machine take call, as I do with unidentified callers, they did not leave message.

No message. Answering machine message played and they hung up.

512 270 1237 called us. Call center type chatter in the background, I said hello three times and could hear them on the line. They hung up without saying anything. I called them back and their recording said something to the effect , Americans for Texas. referred me to their website www.asptx which doesn't exist. I'm blocking this number but watch out for a scam.

Received call on my house landline from 512.270.1237 on 5/29/2015 @ 12:52pm CT. Caller ID read: "Austin TX". I did not pick up and the caller did not leave a message. My phone # is on the DNC list.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 500 of these nuisance calls since 2010.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will receive more of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid which almost assures more calls.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a real person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action.  If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them.  If you really want to block them – there is software available that a layman can install.  Of the 500 calls I’ve blocked, I've only added 16 over the last 6 months.  So the message is simple – blocking works….  One additional note, using the aforementioned processes I seldom have a second call from a given number.  But, when I do - I love it when "Number Blocked" shows on my 'Caller ID!!!
PS:  I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!

I got the same message. When I said that I was in favor he said "thank you" and hung up.

Voice Message.  Totally indistinct voice asked some unknown question then hung up.

Called me 8-1-15, live person on other end but totally unintelligible. I hung up.

Just another low life scum bag idiot.  My call block zaps these jerks after a half ring.  Love it, it is like hearing a rat trap going off.

Called asking if I approved of the Obama health care law, I simply told him that I didn't approve of you calling me with any Dumb A$$ questions then hung up.
