Your Complaint Has Been Accepted
Thank you for filing your complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.
Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action.
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx - Mike in MD replies to JohnWell if you had checked the above posts that indicate this caller is fundraising for a charity you would have know it was exempt from the DNC list. As soon as anyone who manages the database of complaints checks, your complaint will be discarded as invalid.
- MidNYteStorm replies to JohnMike is correct about the DNCR. However I do believe that this charity loophole allows people to setup bogus organizations in order to get around the law. To be honest my mother has received numerous calls from a respected charity. They were asked numerous times to place her number on their internal do not call list and the calls continued. I got the impression the impression that a third party service was placing the calls and figured that is why the calls never stopped. Because of this, I had to block their number. When it comes right down to it, I tend not to trust any caller claiming to be a charity.
- DanCalled cell and didn't leave message.
- KaraI picked up after two rings, and started pressing numbers on my keypad knowing this was a spam call. Started off with a woman's voice, most likely a recording. Then one of the numbers I pressed connected me to a man's voice, which was most definitely a recording as I got it multiple times. I guess their machine got tired of me punching numbers, so it hung up on me.
