- Ann| 1 replyI received a call from them. They said I had to send them $250 dollars to get $10,0000. I gave them some information after realizing I did not need to give money to send money. I looked up Advanced America and called their 1-888 number. Glad I did but feel stupid for being desperate enough to almost fall for them.
- Caller: Advanced America
- Badge714 replies to AnnIf you didn't apply, but were cold-called and offered a loan - it's a scam. Every time. Any request for an advance fee to get a loan, lottery win, prize, gift, Government Grant, etc. is always a scam. Beware of companies that want to use cash wire transfer services (Western Union, Money Pak, etc.) & prepaid credit cards. Real business' DO NOT use these forms of payment. They are NEVER to be used for any kind of business transaction, property rental, or internet purchase, or to send money to someone you do not personally know.
- GingerLeft me a voice mail saying I had been approved for a $10,000 loan that I have not applied for. When I called them to find out what the deal was they said they got my information from a website that I had applied through. I have not made any applications on line for a loan.
This place is a scam...they threatened to report me to the authorities because I continued to call them after they hung up on me. All I wanted was to know what personal information had of mine other than my phone number. My identity was stolen in January, so yes, I am going to be pretty upset getting this kind of call. Their response to the identity theft was for me to take care of my own problem, it wasn't theirs. Sure wish I could have gotten more info out of them...- Caller: Advance America
- AmyRepeatedly calls never leave message
- WilliamJust received a call and repeatedly said, "Hello." There was no response for approximately 5-8 seconds and then the line went dead. There has been an onslaught of telemarketing lately. Grr
- JenniferJust got a call from them. Said I was approved for 10,000 and I need to call them back so they can put it into my bank. Yeah right not falling for that again. Yes, I have been scammed once and I lost 300. I am never falling for it again.
- Caller: cash advance

- Average Joe“George”, (different names same guy), is a scammer/phishing caller. He wants your info to exploit your accounts. “Degree Needs” and “United States Department of Education” are 2 of the entity names he will use to try to get the info from you. He will offer you services or a “loan” or “grant”. He is an Arab man engaged in scamming/phishing/fraud. They will not stop calling you. You will never get a supervisor. Just waste as much of their time as you can and have fun with them. =) scam the scammer.
HINT: He HATES when you "can't understand his bad English". Lo- Caller: Degree Needs/U.S.D.O.E.

- violetThey call me every day 3, 4, 5 times a day. I hate them and don't know how to get rid of them! They tell me nothing. I ask to speak w/a supervisor they hang up call again. There is one [***] that laughs at me and tells me that he will call me everyday that he will never stop! I hate them!!I want them and all those others; i.e. politicians during elections, Microsoft (allegedly) etc.
- David Iverson| 1 replyThey call me on my cell phone 2-4 time a day. Don't respond at all. My experience about the call comes from reading what others know. If I get a unknown call I look it up. That what everyone should do!
- ChicaThis number calls me literally every day. I usually just ignore it, because I screen my calls if I don't recognize the number. When I do answer I don't say anything, the line is always silent and they eventually just hang up. When I call back it rings to voicemail every time. I can't remember ever talking to anyone, but they continue to call every day, and after seeing all of these complaints I called and actually left a message saying to never call me again and take me off of their list before I report them
- Chica replies to David IversonI avoid this by screening my calls. If I don't know the number and they dont leave a voicemail, I know for a fact it's not someone calling about legitimate bills or an emergency, because those situations always result in a voicemail if I don't answer, and I just call the number back to see if it's a scam or not. That's how I figured out this number was.
