Received a call from 512-410-4178 ID'ed as Austin, TX.  They left no message.  I didn't call back, not wanting to spend long distance charges.

I was gone when the call came. I tried to find out who had called.  What I found was on one website that it is a spoofed number used by a telemarketer.  I pay for my phone for my personal use, not for scum telemarketers to call and bother me.

Just got a call, did not identify himself and asked for my wife, but badly mispronounced the last name. She told him he got the wrong number.

I got this call twice today and I think these people are calling to solicit donations on behalf of the police department, however they are not who they say they are.  Its a SCAM.  

I received similar calls from different numbers, but it seems very suspicious that they would call directly to ask for donations.  I think it is a scam.

This number originally came up as 281-936-1874 on my caller id. When I called the  number back I received a recorded message indicating the number 512-410-4178 and the message said to leave a message. I hung up.

The caller asked me for my address. Something inside me told me this was not right. I gave wrong address. He said it was on behalf of Texas State Troopers.
