Called my landline, hung up soon as my answering machine came on.

I suspected it was a nuisance caller, so I picked up and said nothng.  I could clearly hear call center voices in the background.

It's not a working phone number, so no reason to ever answer.

Called me twice today, two hours apart.  Did not leave any message either time.  That number is now blocked.

UNKNOWN NAME caller; hung up without identifying self, agency represented and purpose of call - most definite signs of illegal scammer violating our "do not call registry" laws.  Reported to FTC

The registry, as you are totally aware, only covers sales calls, so any other type call would not be violating the registry or the two enabling laws that make it possible.

Calls repeatedly.  No message

I picked up and said nothing (just like A DIFFERENT ELVIS did). I definitely could hear call center voices in the background they finally disconnected. I know what a call center sounds like because I used to work in an IRS call center answering tax questions.

Came home from work today and found this number had called twice, no message left either time.

This number called, did not leave a message. *** BLOCKED ***
