- Fed UpI've been receiving phone calls from this number for a couple of weeks, and previously I was receiving calls from another number in the Washington DC area. In all cases, the caller was looking for someone named Philip Carson, and asked if I was Kevin. The guy is rude and uses subtle threats to try and get me to say that I am Philip, which I am not. Finally, I got so fed up I told him I had Philip's phone number, and instead I gave him the number of our local police department. He called back a few minutes later, told me to stop playing games, and said that "they" (I assume the cops he called) would be paying me a visit shortly, and for me and my family to have a nice day.
- Me in VirginiaJust got a call from this #. Man abruptly asked for "Chance" and there was a lot of background noise. I said, "Excuse me?" and he then asked for the same person using his last name. I told him that we don't have an employee by that name and he said, "Are you sure? I'm investigating a case in Norfolk County Virginia, blah blah blah....". I told him that Chance _____ was a former employee and he started digging for information. I told him that if he'd like to do an employment verification, we had a process for that and I'd be happy to give him that information. He said no thanks and hung up. What's a little strange - besides the fact that he asked if I'm sure that he doesn't work here - is that Norfolk, Virginia is a city and is not in a county. So, there's no such thing as Norfolk County in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

- JeffI had a phone call to my place of employment (which is a recorded line) telling the owner of the company i work for, that an attorney by the name of mr baker was trying to get a hold of me and asked if they could track me down because i was a person of interest in an investigation, when i called the number to speak with the mr baker i didn't need the extension # provided, as well, i was told that if i could send $420.00 in 2 hrs via money gram they could get all the attorney's fee's, etc dropped, and that if i did not get the money sent in the amount of time i would be prosecuted by federal attorney's for fraudulent deception of a federal bank, and misuse of the internet to defraud a financial institution for personal gain....when i asked for the information to be faxed to me he told me that he would have the information hand delivered by a local pd and would have it taken to my boss instead of me...i then asked him for his bar association number an he told me he never told me that he was an attorney he told me that he is an investigator...i then received a call from a different number the next day this time from a cell phone stating that the mr baker had sent my case to this guys office for further investigation, and when i slapped him in the face with quoted federal dept collection laws he got angry and told me that once i was prosecuted it would be a life changing experience, and then hung up.....they are stating that they are investigating a payday loan for a company called jvc funding. I know this company has changed names so many times in the past that I do not remember what the name of the original company was that i took the loan out with.
