- russell| 1 replyGot a call from this number threatening me over a payday loan. The guys name was Dave Wilkens and he stated that he was processing a warrant for my arrest and I can explain to a judge the game I've been playing. This payday loan is from paydayloanyes company. I will be honest I did receive a loan from this place back in 2009 and they took one payment of 105.00 and I haven't heard anything from them till now. My first call was from an 801 number and the guys name was Brent Reeves out of Illinois. Now this guy from Texas is calling me threatening me about the same issue. Can I honestly be arrested because of a payday loan??????
- jagI got the same call today. From same guy at same number. With the worthless check division looking for my ex husband. I'm thinking scam. Haven't called him back yet.
- noneReceived the call to parents residence, this PD loan was back in 2006. I Received a call about 3 years ago. Honestly I had forgotten about it. It has been over 7 years. I do know that they sell these contracts to other agencies to see if they can collect.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Greg| 2 repliesI have had a few calls from these clowns. Yes I owe money, I am willing to pay. They won't send me any information by US mail. They will send info by email. I made a few phone calls on who actually owns my debt, and it's not them. I need to take a trip to Texas and find that Mr. Wilkins and show him just what I think of his threats. I plan on paying my debt, but I'm not giving one hard earned penny to them a** clowns.

- shiela| 6 repliescan't seem to get off this mans list he has been told 10 times the person he wants does not have this number
- dave wilkins replies to shiela| 5 repliesyou can pay now or when you get out
- Kendra replies to dave wilkins| 3 repliesYou do know its illigal to threaten jail time/arrest over a payday loan. There is no law that warrants arrest for failure to pay a payday loan. It is considered a debt and will be settled as a civil matter in civil court since it was not a purchase or service. Please stop trying to intimidate people with this bogus crap of being prosecuted for felony check fraud. No judge will sign a warrant for this and you know it. You all are really sick trying to collect on something that has probably been paid ten times over and you know it. Just after more money from individuals you knew did not have it to begin with. You know that in civil or criminal court the law will side with the individual and not your company and that is why you try to collect with threats. Bunch of cowards. Please do your research people and start giving "Mr. Wilkins" at the Chase building here in Austin as much hell as he tries to give you. IF this is real I would love to see one person that was arrested. Yall have tried this for years and I am glad they are cracking down on you blood suckers!!!
- K replies to GregHe claims his office is in the Chase Tower. 221 West 6th Street, Austin, TX
- sg replies to russellyou have to be sued first in state court. so watch out for court papers being served or check with the courthouse in your county. I would contact a bankruptcy attorney to seek legal advice
- may replies to dave wilkinsyou cannot threaten people like that. this is a form of harrassment and you can be sued. the only thing is to find you. you are not a judge, attorney, or policeman. you have to seek action with court to sue someone, and only way they can be arrested is if they don't show to a hearing, stop lying to people!!!! I know you are just playing games there are actions that you must take first.
- jen replies to Kendrawhat's funny is that payday loan places know that there are not any funds in the check because they hold it until payday. That's why they are called "payday" loans. Now if you are stuck with payday loans you can't pay, you may want to contact a bankruptcy lawyer, because you can get rid of them. I feel that now everyone is so greedy they are doing everything to threaten people with jail (what they are going to reach through your phone and handcuff you) that's illegal they have to sue you first. So be aware if you do receive court papers contact a bankruptcy lawyer or a lawyer with experience. Don't ignore it. Never give anyone your bank account number. Especially when they call you and they sound very unprofessional. It makes you think its some random person on the street that's trying to get your $$$
- bankruptcy specialist replies to KendraI agree and he sounds so unprofessional over the phone, who believes who he is. Sounds like my neighbor playing a practical joke. No professionalism at all. Let him sue in court first, file bankruptcy against him then you'll get him.
