This number says it's a loan company, Advance America, they want $150 for insurance on a $5000 loan offer in advance.

There is no "loan".  No one calls you up out of the blue to offer you money.  Advance fee loans are illegal everywhere and in every state.  You will get the same result if you flush that $150 down the toilet, and if you pay them, I can assure you they will need more and more for "taxes, fees, bank transfers, bad credit, and anything else they can think up".

This company has been calling me 1 - 2 times a day.  I have called them back and listened to a barely intelligible message (heavy ?Indian accent and lots of line noise) asking me to leave my name & number so they can call me back. Interestingly, the message they leave when the autodialer calls is from a completely different person without much of an accent, except he emphasizes the "4" in their phone number. When I actually spoke with someone, I told him I was on the Fed DNC list and they had better stop calling or I was going to report them.  I received another call later in the day anyway.
