- BeverlyGot this phone call, my area code in Texas, while driving so I cut the phone call off. A second later, get a phone call from 618-216-9817, Illinois. Appears to be the modus operandi for the Illinois company--to call people with a phone number from their area, and when rejected, call from the other number. I didn't answer either one. The 618-216-9817 800notes.com page has multiple reports of a second call within seconds of the first from a different number.
- Not InterestedLive person called, said they were from (inaudible). Sorry, who are you calling from? Energy (click), I hang up. I don't have time for these scammers.

- JP in TexasReceived 2 calls within about 1 minute from this number. My iPhone was set to Do Not Disturb, but 2 calls from the same number within 3 minutes will allow the call to ring on my phone. I didn't answer, and they did not leave a message. I called back twice, and each time, after many rings, there was a recorded message that "the person at extension 5 is on the phone," and then there was a beep. After reading other's reports about this number here on 800notes, I've blocked them.
- Bryan replies to TreyWay to go kid
- AnnoyedThanks to other posters for the low down. Called our landline, but left no message. "Unknown Name" CID is a fairly reliable scam/spam indicator.

- Metal| 3 repliesI just had a charming discussion with an operator claiming to work for "Energy First" asking a number of questions about my home ownership, my intent to relocate, my electricity bill, my credit rating, my income and my age. After I gave encouraging answers to all her questions, she invited me to schedule a 45 minutes appointment for one of their specialists to come over and sell me a fantastic solar system.
Since I'm a curious person, I asked for their company's web site, and was directed to gotoenergyfirst.com. If you go there, you'll find a very quickly put together generic web site with some stock photography and generic blurbs of text, almost all of it stolen from the website of a real electrician contractor lightningelectricidaho.com. They even stole their testimonial, because well, why not?
Alas, it seems hard to get in touch with "Energy First", which is perhaps why, after I told my operator that I wasn't ready to commit yet but that I would contact them when I am, she instead insisted on calling me back next week for a follow-up call, which I expect to be a great time.
Their site does have a "contact me" page that lists an address in Arizona (not my state), and googling that address doesn't bring up any mention of their "company". It does list some medical supply business and a closed dentist office.
There are no corporation called "Energy First" registered in Arizona or in my state (well, there's one in my state, but I'm reasonably sure it's not them.)
Since the public information associated with my cell phone is hopelessly outdated, she had the wrong name for me, and therefore doesn't have my address either, which is great.
As much as I'd enjoy grilling their "consultant" during an in-person meeting, I don't think it's worth giving them my information. Maybe I'll try arranging a meet at a starbucks instead? That should sound legit.- Caller: Energy First

- Austin TX fellowAlso got a call from “Energy First”. Was told I couldn’t be placed on a do not call list. How can we report this company when they don’t really exist?

- meCall went right to Spam folder. Blocked
- Allysoni told them on 7/5 to stop calling me. Blocked them. See they called again in my call log but they were blocked.
- Caller: Some kind of Energy BS
- Allyson replies to MetalDarn.... I should've done that. Good one!
- Tired of Energy FirstThey call regularly. I've asked them not to. I'm on the Do Not Call list. They called twice today. I submitted both calls to the Federal Trade Commission: https://complaints.donotcall.gov . The second time they called I immediately told him "I've already reported you to the FTC and am about to do so again." He hung up. I think I will continue with this tactic.
