Called saying I've been selected for a government grant but I had to pay 250$ fee for application for some reason she could not take it off my bank card i had to go y I Wal-Mart an put it on an ITunes card at that point I was sure it was a scam they were trying to make the money transfer undetectable is my thought so after I asked her if that was why she hung up does our government really allow such knonsense talk to me somebody please

It is a scam. The "registration" is money in the scammer's pocket.

I just got a call from 15127179015 havent asked for $ yet they just asked for 200.00

They called me today asked for 250 for registration at Walgreens and that I would receive 8,725 in return after. I talked to my boyfriend about it and he said it's a scam so I called the number back and told her "she should be ashamed of herself for scamming people" and she said "you stupid [***] stop calling"

You called them back?  I guess you are just so excited about getting scammed out of a ton of money then.

Grant scams:

The government does not call people up and offer them free money because you paid your taxes on time, have never been arrested, have paid all your bills, or whatever excuse they can make up.  In order to get a grant you need a valid reason (not one of the above and not just because you need money), you have to fill out tons and tons of paperwork, wait a long time, and might not even get the grant in the end.  If you are lucky enough to get the grant after all that paperwork, they do not ask you to pay taxes, transfer fees, or any other types of fees.  Also, please note that the government would never ask you to pay these so called taxes or fees to some anonymous person using Western Union, Moneygram, or any of the cards such as iTunes cards which is a new favorite among foreign scammers.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or are that uninformed. Of course the government isn't cold calling people and asking for money through Apple giftcards in exchange for giving free money away with no application, you not applying or asking for it through any formal means, and them hanging up when asking legitimate questions.
