- Ray| 1 replyGot a call saying that they were going to take legal matters against me. Never mentioned for what or who they were and I have not received anything in the mail for that matter. I don't owe anything so it sounds very suspicious.

- B-Edwards replies to RayThese guys are bad news.
These are debt scammers calling. They are crooks who want to scare you into paying debts you do not owe. Don't call them back or talk to them, that just gets you more calls. Some of them call your job and your family in order to put pressure on you. The language they use is pure bs, and is supposed to sound scary and legal.

-- A bit or two of common sense:
- If you were in that kind of trouble, you would not get warning call first.
- You not arrested for a debt as the very first move
- There is NO Warrant for Arrest. No one is coming to your house or workplace.
- There is NO Debt.
You are being called by crooks. - BJust recieved same call, looking for someone else. Person was very rude and wouldn't give me any info on how they got my number and apparently there's alot of numbers associated with this "case". A mediation firm is what I was told but the fact of how rude and the conversation I had with the "lawyer" even so brief, they have no schooling and speak as a 6th grader would. All lies and a scammed obviously.

- RedneckGravyScammers. Trying to collect a payday loan I have NEVER had. Wrong address, email, employment history and mother's maiden name. Threatened me with arrest then claimed it was a civil matter, not criminal. When I asked about the Federal Credit Reporting Act she said they were not a collection agency - just a litigation firm trying to settle a lawsuit. Refused to provide written verification of the debt. It's a SCAM!

- Annoyed in AustinThank you to the person who posted the name Veterans of America because part of that didn't make it onto our phone's recording. I wasn't sure who they were pretending to be. Never press 9 or any number if you get a call like this one. Do not speak with them at all. If you have answered the phone, just hang up when the spiel begins about donating a car or a timeshare or anything!
