Legit. Called to renew my VRBO ad

Did not sign up to get harassed, only wanted a listing.

as soon as i added a rental property to AirB&B, i start getting unwanted calls from Homeaway!

I rec'd several calls from this number, no msg. I finally answered and the guy with an accent (Australian perhaps ?) said he is from Homeaway. He  said my listing (we do have a listing on HA) was down and he needed my banking info the bring  it back up online. I would never give banking info over the phone to someone who called  me. I called HA and they said they would never call someone and ask for banking info. It is sent via email if something needs to be updated (which they did send an email). So wanted people to beware. This could be a scam that is someone tracking homeaway listings and calling people for bank or cc info. Just call Homeaway directly.

Call came though on cell phone.  I didn't check caller ID as I was expecting a family member's call.  Picked up, person on the other end muttered, "What the f***?"  I hung up immediately

Got a call in the middle of the night on my mobile - did not answer - no message left....they tried again in the morning but did not leave any messages. Strange...I am available on text or email to those known to me.

Just got a call from this number which came in on caller-id as UNKNOWN, so I ignored it and they left no message. I did just list a rental property on vrbo, so I wonder if some sort of upsell or scam. If legit why would they block caller-id?  Sketchy at best.  Blocked future calls.

Thanks for the info... Got the call.  Didn't answer.  I registered for VRBO and never finished with signing up...

Got this call around 7.30 a.m in the morning. An Middle East or Indian English accent said they call from Homeaway VRBO to show me how to optimize my listing on their website. Heard about some scam related to vacation home websites so Im not sure if this was legit, the I just said “I’m busy at the moment”.

The only thing I did was install the VRBO app and create an account. This is not a good way to begin any type of correspondence with me.

Never answered the call and always blocks it and sends it to voicemail but no voicemail was left after reading the comments I'm glad I did not answer the call I have a 1/2 listed property on VRBO if that's how it's going to be then nom taken it down

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent pressuring me to post photos to my half-completed VRBO listing. I told him I wasn't ready to post photos, and he insisted that I just post 6-10, even if the property was still being renovated. I feel like he was trying to copy my listing or something. Super scammy vibes.

BOGUS: Repeat calls from this purported Austin TX number over last several days. Several per day, no message ever left. Undoubtedly SCAMMERS. Please report them to your phone carriers!
