Patrick Foley from PDL called 07/23 - claims that there was a returned check with my name and SSN attached to it. I haven't used checks since before I was married, and never had one returned, so I am betting this is a scam.

Some company using the local area code where you live.  Called them back once and someone answered just giving their first name.  When I asked who he was with, he refused to answer.  When I asked again, he hung up.  I phoned back and a different man answered stating to be Bruce with PDL.  I know of no company that I do business with called PDL.  They have phoned me before with this same scam, using the area code where I live so that it looks like I am receiving an incoming call from someone I know or do business with.  A little research indicates they are PDL Recovery?  Apparently some thype of scam company that acquired your phone number in an attempt to collect some type of debt.  However, they are not legitimate debt collectors and complaints indicate that they often are phoning the wrong people or have no authorization in particular states to be collecting debts.  I just put them on the reject list but it is very annoying becuase they seem to just reinvent another phone number with my local area code and will call at some point in time again.

Called persistently +1 (512) 865-5391, left no message. Hereby reporting these asholes hoping one day they will respect privacy
